Jazz dv171 digital video camera

When i use the camera to record on my pc, i get picture, but no sound on playback.

Camera wont record sound

DSC-S930 does record sound and you can hear video clip sound by playback of Media Player in Computer.
This camera does not have inbuilt speaker for playback sound but it have inbuilt mic to record sound, transfer recorded movie clip in computer and play it with media player to get sound and picture.

Does it record video clips with sound? I can record video clips but when i playback it has no sound,if it does have the feature then how would i activate it?

Yes, it does record video with sound but this camera has no inbuilt speaker for playback that sound so transfer video clip in computer and playback it with Windows Media Player to get sound and picture.

Your camera probably doesn't have a speaker. Try downloading the video to your PC for playback.

Can't hear audio on video playback (neither direct from camera nor from pc)

This is because the camera is not capable to record the sound. The camera was not designed with any audio speakers to be able to record and playback sound recorded during movie mode.

Press RECORD/PLAY Button to switch from Record Mode to Playback Mode.
The Playback Mode is for viewing and managing movies and pictures as well as listening to voice and
music on the built-in memory or on an optional memory card.

Operation Display Screen
Press RECORD/PLAY Button ( ) to switch
from Record Mode to Playback Mode Main Menu.
• There are 4 options in the Playback Mode, movie,
picture, music and voice.
• Direction Buttons can be used to select the
specific option.
• Press OK Button to view movies/pictures, listen to
voice or music.

Fuzzy video with Jazz dvk141

the resolution of this camera is not very high, with only 3.1 megapixels. you can go to websites like fixmyvideo.com to improve the video, but to get better quality in future videos I would suggest buying a camera with more megapixels. 7 or 8 megapixels are relatively good and you can get a camera with that many for about $90.

No sound whe using as a webcam

Hi, check whether the PC microphone has been enabled. You can do this by double-clicking on speaker icon on your pc, click on options, properties, recording control, select Line-In or Internal Mike.
Try recording a test video. It should work now.
