Turn off your Nokia 5500, then turn the phone over so that you can see the back panel.Remove the cover to the Nokia 5500 battery compartment to reveal the internal rechargeable battery. Remove the battery from the compartment.Leave the battery out of the phone for five minutes, allowing the internal backup battery to drain of power, which will clear the settings.Place the battery back in the compartment.
