Whenever I install Audio driver for my compaq presario c304nr, it gives error sign that media device could not be found

Are you sure that the driver you have is for the version of windows that you have?

Check the Compaq/HP WEB site - download the latest drivers for the Windows version you are using. Sometimes the latest one does not work but the previous one will work. (I've come across this problem before and it is not confined to Compaq/HP)

Have you installed the chipset drivers first?

have installed XP in Compaq Presario 707TU Laptop. I have configured audio as below. Install Microsoft UAA sp31994, then install High-definition audio driver sp33443. But I get the error message "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver."...
