Kenko Hello, I bought a olympus camera from Ritz camera store and got a free accessorie kit, camera case and batterie charger:(V-6388). My question is it has two lights which represent front and back batteries that are red when you first plug them into charge. The first time I plugged them in for the very first charge and other charges, shouldn't the red lights either turn green or go out indicating the charge is complete. Isn't that there function? The lights stay on red no matter what. Also will interruption of electricity even when charging up to recommened time and a little over to compensate for it could be the problem with the lights staying on? Thanks Cheryl

Read the owners hand book
normally the lights stay red until the battery is charged then it goes green
if the power is cut or if you switch the point off with the charger still in it and do not remove the charged battery , the battery will discharge through the charger

Can i use it witout battery charger

Hello sai,

Of course you can use your camera without the battery charger but when the batteries empty then you will need to purchase batteries which is a lot waste of money. When purchasing rechargeable batteries the charger comes free.

I lost the battery charger of my olympus fe-320. Can i charge it using the usb port ?

No, you cannot charge the battery in the camera via the USB port. You need to use the LI-40C or LI-41C charger or equivalent.

One source for a replacement charger (along with a battery and a camera case) is

My sister gave me camera but doesn't have charger, battery, books nothing. All I have is the camera. How can I get accessories I need to make camera work?

The battery and charger is available on Ebay - search for Li-10B or Li-12B battery and charger to suit - in fact some auctions are sets of charger and battery.

The manual can be downloaded for free at
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_product.asp?id=934

A USB cable can also be bought on Ebay, although I wouold suggest a Card Reader as a better option, make sure you get one that takes XD memory cards - I guess you will need one of those too !

Should have no problems as all accessoriers needed are common enough.

I have a problem with power on Olympus SP-550UZ

Try using regular batteries. I did with my camera and seems I can go a lot longer on the regular batteries verses the re-chargable ones

Where locally can I get a new battery

You didn't say where "locally" is, so it is more difficult to help you. Since the camera can be powered several ways, I am not sure which battery you are using. However, since the camera will work on 2 AA lithium or Ni-MH batteries, I would suggest that you go to the nearest Ritz Camera shop and buy a charger/batteries package of AA Ni-MH batteries and a charger and you are set to go. These are very common and can be found at a lot of stores. If you already have the charger for these or another type of battery, just take a battery with you to Ritz Camera or Wolfe Camera and they will sell you a replacement.
