How do I get into my whirlpool duet front loader dryer to clean the lint out

Hello. First, turn the power off to the dryer or remove the power cord from the AC outlet. Next, locate the 2 screws in-between the upper and lower front panels and at the bottom front of the dryer--there will be 2-3 screws, usually 1/4 inch hex head, and remove them--use a magnetic nut driver, it makes it a whole lot easier! (note:sometimes, to replace the panel, you have to push up on the bottom of the panel hard to get the screw holes to line up again.) Set the panel aside. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen from the holder. Close the door. Next, notice the blower housing cover, pic 3, #45, lower left corner. There should be 3-4 screws holding the cover to the blower housing. Remove the screws and cover--use caution--most metal edges inside a dryer are unfinished and razor sharp--akin to putting your hand inside a box of razor blades(ask me how I know this, lol). Remove any lint build-up inside the cover with a vacuum. Again, using a vacuum, suck out any lint from inside the blower housing and fan as best you can. Take care to not damage the fan blades! Now, try to remove as much lint build-up as you can with the vacuum. Be especially careful when vacuuming around the mouth of the heater element. Do the best you can. At this point, re-assemble the dryer using the reverse of assembly. If there is still a lot of lint inside the cabinet and you can't reach it--STOP! In order to remove the remaining lint requires removal of the front bulkhead(large metal plate that supports the front of the drum), drum belt, and drum from the cabinet. This is INVOLVED and can be very difficult to re-assemble if you have never done it before. Call for service. I hope I helped you!

Amana lea30aw squeeks

there are drum rollers that support the drum and turn during rotation,FIRST UNPLUG the unit from POWER,then, remove the 2 bottom screws at the front cover and remove lower cover below the door, then remove 4 screws on front door cover 2 on each side and remove upper front and door, then remove 2 screws just under the top cover in front then release and remove drum belt from idler pulley by reaching under drum on right side by motor, then remove drum and 2 pulleys will be on rear of inside machine the other 2 will be on door panel, sometimes you can remove "c" CLIPS AND CLEAN HAIR AND LINT OUT AND lube with dry lubricant, but they are relatively inexpensive so replace all 4 rollers, check axles they turn on too and belt condition too amnd throughly clean out lint from innards too

Cleaning out the dryer vent in the front of the dryer

The easiest and effective way is to get a long brush and use it from the top down with your vacuum hose to catch the lint as it breaks free.

If you are really adventurous here is how to take it apart...

- Remove the lower panel in front by pressing on the release springs, they are in the slot between the upper and lower front panels about 3 inches from each side. Lift and remove the panel.

- Snap the end caps off of the console on both sides.

- Remove the two screws that point down in the console into the top

- Swing the console up

- Remove the 3 screws under the console that hold the top to the back and slide the top toward you and lift off

- Look inside and tilt your head down like you are looking back at yourself. Locate and disconnect the wires to the door switch. Mark which ones went where.

- Remove the 2 screws from the front panel on the bottom first, then the top and pull the front panel off.

- From here you can clean around the motor the bottom and take the door apart to clean the lint chute.

How do I clean the lint out of the Kenmore Eite He3 past the lint screen?

Remove lint screen. Remove bottom front kick panel (usually three to four screws on very bottom front), There is a metal lint filter air duct assembly that has three to four screws holding it on. Usually one on each upper side of the duct, and one that has a bent metal bracket holding the bottom to the blower housing. This metal duct is dead center in the dryer under the door and ducts over to the bottom left. Remove the screws and pull the duct down and out. You can now clean this assembly. Needless to say, always unglug the dryer or turn it off at the circuit breaker before doing this job. I recommend that you do this at least once a year on the dryer, and clean out the washer lint and coin catcher at least once a year. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists.

A load was running and then my dryer just turned

SOUNDS LIKE YOU BLEW A FUSE IN YOUR DRYER. THAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN YOU HAVE A VENTALATION PROBLEM. THE FUSE SHOULD BE BEHIND THE BACK COVER-AT THE BOTTOM--TWO WIRES PLUG INTO IT AND IT IS PROBABLY WHITE.

Clean Dryer Lint Vent in Kenmore elite HE4

If you wish to clean the interior cabinet of the dryer follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the dryer. Dangerous voltages are still present even with the dryer turned off.

2. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen. IMPORTANT: You must remove the lint screen first in order to remove the blower fan housing.

3. Remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door by removing the screws under the bottom front edge of the panel. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then come off. NOTE: For better access, you can prop the front feet of the dryer up (a 2x4 works well).

4. Loosen the screws on the blower fan housing directly below the drum and remove. There's usually a small clip holding the cover in at the bottom that you may need to pull out to release. NOTE: You may also have to disconnect the auto dry sensor plug (yellow wires with white plug - use a small screwdriver to release the locking tabs) and/or ground wire to accommodate removal of the cover.

You should now have access to the dryer interior and the blower fan squirrel cage motor. Take the time to clean out the blower fan housing cover as well. A long bristle brush made for dryers works well at removing any lint inside the dryer in the hard to reach places, followed by vacuuming.

NOTE: After cleaning, you may experience a slight burning odor. This is normal as lint gets stirred up in the cleaning process and can settle on the heating components. The odor should dissipate after a short period of use.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Lint trap

http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php This will show you how your dryer is put together. The lint has gone directly to the fan, where it could affect fan performance. You would have to remove the front off the dryer, and the cover off the fan area. It's not a bad idea to clean this area once in a while.
