MDE5500AYW Maytag Neptune not Heating

Sure I will help you when that happens that means that your heater core is no longer operating and when the heater core doesn't work when your dryer doesn't heat up anymore so that's your problem I hope I have helped you please leave a response or Stars if I have helped

How many sensors to test dryer door switch, one or two?

the female is the switch! you can pop the top off and check with electric tester on ohms, make sure you unplug the drye
check the breaker make sure you have 220 volts a in the outlet !

I have a maytag dryer mde5500ayw. i went to run a load, hit the button and all the LED lights went out. it acts like there is no power, but i have power from breaker to pigtail. would a blown thermal

Start button does not kick the dryer on

Looks like your drive motor is locked up. It has an internal overload switch which cuts power off when motor gets too hot...Replacement of the motor on a used dryer is probably not the best choice as it can be quite pricey..

Dryer chirping along with the following: start button flashing, dry temp on high light lit, 56 on timer timed dry lit and dry time selector lit was on sensor dry when we left and turned off

Disconnect power or turn breaker off for about 5 minutes. This may reset the unit. Otherwise you have an eror showing and need to retrieve the error code. Google your make and model followed by error codes a d you should get a link to retrieve the codes.

This may be from a key that is stuck on the panel. Press each key individually to see if all of them move up and down.

Maytag Neptune MDE9700AYW

We have the same machine. The drum also broke so we had it professionally installed. It wasn't done well enough and after the 90 day repair warranty, other problems developed. We still don't have a dryer and the next repair is $500 as other parts were damaged and we didn't catch it within the 90 days.
Bottom line: do have it professionally installed but be sure to ask about their work guarantee. As soon as you have any problem at all, call them back.
