Hey i dont know to much about amps, but me and my friend (he knows a decent amount about amps) would plug the power into the amp and the green light would come on. Though when we plug it into the subs, the green light would turn to red or it would stay green and the speakers still wouldnt be getting any power.

Check your speakers to see if they read correct ohms.

Are you connecting positive to positive and negative to negative from the sub to the amp? If so, try positive to positve (+) in the far left channel and then the negative to negative (-) on the far left channel to. If no luck do the same in the other channel with one sub at a time. Try one sub at a time, Dont try an connect 2 or more subs to one channel as this would cause the amp to go into protect mode (red light you describe). Usually the positive wire has either a line down the wire, writting on it or has a red seperate wire with it when wire end stripped to connect it. Hope this helps and please rate...

I brought a rover mgzr and want to put radio in it but the wires in the loom have had the connectors cut off so i just got the speaker wires and the four wires to power the radio, I know which speaker...

My assumption would be black = earth, red/black = power, purple power antena? green white? start by getting a test lamp put the earth ********, turn ignition on & check all wires for power also test in acc position & off position in case 1 is memory (constant power) once you know which ones are power put the test light in the power & black to check the black is the earth. Once you have + & - & speakers it should work.

Amp sound fuzzy and out of tone.

Well if you want goo dpinch harmonics to squeal you need a decent amount of gain and good pickups. What guitar are you using, some lower model passive pickups have bad frequency response when you try to do pinch harmonics. If you have decent pickups I would say get a higher gain preamp and just run the amp on the clean channel. There a re tube preamp pedals out there that have masaive amounts of gain and they are reasonably priced. There are also so good amps out there for a decent price like the 6550 from peavey. I have a 5150 block letter and that thing can produce good pinch harmonics along with my EMGs. Good luck man, oh and there is nothing wrong with your amp, it is just time to move on. There is only so much you can do with solid state amplifiers in my opinion.

If the power light on this 1200.1 polk amp turns

i had an amp that did the same thing your amp should not be doing that i dont know how old it is but mine had internal overload switch in it which kicked on if the amp was getting to hot and in my case i would say it was because of i had the amp bridged to a set of of some 100rms 4ohm speakers very nice speakers but by bridging the amp i was over loading the ohm load to the speakers and that was cause of my amp light staying the color that its was it was an old alpine amp with duo B circuitry but i hope you get your situation with this amp straited out check your contecions and if its bridege make sure the amp itself is not over heating cause that can be a problem you dont want mess with that.

Both green and red ligt or on my jensen ka3 i dont know what it means i had it working b4 i swaped my subs for some new ones and the amp dosent work now.i dont know if is because of the red light but i...

Generally, the power light is green and the protect light is red. If the protect light is on there could be a short in the wiring or there could be an internal fault in the amp.

Disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down (goes into protection), the amp likely has blown output transistors.

Kenwood KAC 7502 Amp trouble

Exchange the amp it is going into Protect. But your sub may be causing this problem if it is shorted. Make sure your subs are wired to at least a 4 ohms. Only a shop can tell you for certain if your sub is shorted or not. But if you are smelling smoke then that amp is already toast.
