Your tv must have a VGA plug also.

Or you can buy an adapter from VGA to HDMI.

Looking at the L300 series, it looks like your laptop does not have an HDMI port. But it does have a VGA port. If your HDTV has a VGA port, then all you need is to get a VGA cable which looks like the image on the link below.

I dont believe that laptop has an HDMI port on it. If you have an LCD TV then your TV may have a VGA or DVI input on it. You can connect your laptop to the TV by using a VGA to VGA or VGA to DVI cable. If you your TV doesn't have one of these input ports, then you're not going to get your laptop connected to your TV.

If all of your keyboard is not responding, then it might be possible that the connection is loose. Youtube can be a good guide on how to easily open your laptop for resecure the connection again. If certain buttons are not responding then, your keyboard should be replaced.

If you were using the computer at the time, it may be a cable/plug/socket failure. Try a different cable.

If you were watching a movie, you may want to check your screen saver settings. Try doing what you were doing and see if it disconnects after a specific time (so if your screensaver is set to 10 minutes, does your TV lose signal after 10 minutes?).

BIO PASS WORD
Reset BIOS password, it can be done in two ways

Manual
Open the cover under laptop, remove the CMOS battery about 7 seconds, then plug it back. Turn on laptop, BIOS password will be lost. Perform setting date, time, etc.

Online (conditions: the laptop can desktop access)
Toshiba gives services, online flash BIOS. Download and install software ACPI Flash BIOS, according to model of laptop.
Example: Toshiba Satellite L305-SP6983R, software version: ACPI Flash BIOS version 2.20 for Satellite/Satellite Pro L300/L305/L350/L355

I don't know what cable to get to connect my Toshiba satellite L305 to my TV.
Some use USB to connect pc to tv. Others use a ps/2 type with the pins in it to connect. Once they are connected, go to your main window screen, right click, go to properties, go to display. You will see a box #1 and a box #2. You will need to click and drag box #2 to the left side of box #1 and then click apply, then ok. Now you should see your screen on your tv

I can't get online. My mom's dell is working fine (in the same House)but this Toshiba does this every few days. It takes hours and multiple times shutting down to get online. Can you help?
Try to to use an ethernet cable first from your toshiba to the router. After that , configure again the wireless connection.
