Take the lid off and check that the counterweight is tight and the both springs are ok. Then tilt machine back and check both piston supports are connected. If all looks good then the machine is most likely overloaded. Hope this helps

When it goes into full spin , it makes a large banging noise and leaks from underneath,

When our Hotpoint started making banging noises like a road drill I found the bearings were shot. When I stripped it down one of the arms on the spider had sheared off, was lucky it didn't cause any damage. The leaking may be due to a faulty hose clip or split because of the vibration. There's a lot of diagnostc and DIY tutorials on YouTube. Worth checking the drum bearings.

How do I fix a ge top load washer that's making a loud banging noise while agitating?

There is either a balance issue or a damaged spring. Usually all you need to do is open the washer (make sure it is OFF) wait for it to stop spinning... then look for clothes bunching up on one side. Take some out ad move them around.
Sometimes putting in to many or too few items will make it harder to resolve. Items like large towels or several towels, sheets and such will hold more water and be heavy until the water starts to pull out.

My whirlpool top loader bangs around during final spin

Hi,

Kindly provide few details :-

1. Make and model of the washer?
2.How old the washer is?
3. Is it banging only at high speed or even on slow speed?
4. Is it only during the final spin or all the time during spin?
5. If you move the drum by hand, is there any noise? Could you turn the drum easily?

Kindly answer all the questions.

Thanks!!

Hotpoint wf740 aquarius 1400 v noisy banging during spin = dust

It could be a broken drum restraint spring, or a worn or broken. or loose shock absorber.
To check the springs, remove the top cover, and you will see the springs.
Another possibility is the concrete weight could be broken or loose.
You need to remove the lower rear panel of washer to check the shockers and concrete weight.

Thankyou.

Loud banging

Several possibilities for noise. check concrete balance wieghts at top and bottom of washer, make sure they are not loose.
Check drum restraint spring(s) are not broken.
Check suspension legs for wear.
Check for loose motor fixings.
Finally, remove drum belt, and spin drum by hand, tjhere should be noise from bearings, if it feels rough or is rumbling , then main bearings have failed.
Please rate my comments.
Thanks.
