I have a 2007 Audi Q7 with the MMI (audi's multimedia interface) The Sirius radio works sometimes and then doesn't and it says, "Linkining" on the display when I am not hearing the satallite radio. My car is not still under warranty. Any advise on how to fix this?

Your audio out pins on the dock, or on the top of the radio are loose. The BGA connections on the chips inside may also be loose, but that is less likely depending on the force of the collision.

SAT FAULT is displayed when the radio can't pick up the sattelite because either the antenna or the tuner are faulty.
There is nothing you can do about that, the radio will have to be removed from the dash and tested. If the radio is fine then the antenna, located on the roof, will have to be replaced; this implies the removal of the roof trim , a complicated and time consuming job that needs 2 persons to be done correctly. Your SUV should still be in the warranty period so the repair should be free at a dealer.

Audi Q7 2007. Is there a way of having a Bluetooth interface for our iPhones to play music thru the stereo? There doesn't seem to be any plugs in the console or the glovebox.

Audi MMI 2G if equipped with bluetooth still can not stream music wireless. Bluetooth support HPF (hands free profile for calls) but not A2DP for streaming high-quality music.
You can add Dension 500 Gateway module, or AUX and connect bluetooth receiver, or add AMI (Audi Music Interface) with Bluetooth adapter for iPod connector.

Enable Audi MMI 3G bluetooth hands-free phone

Activate Audi MMI 3G bluetooth connection and handsfree profile in your car. All Audis with Multi Media Interface 3rd generation are equipped with bluetooth, some just need activation which you can do for free, without adding any hardware.

You car need to have MMI 3G system. Check your Multi Media Interface version.
Hidden menu must be enabled.

Procedure:

Turn key into II position and wait for the MMI 3G system to start. You can also use keyless buttons.
Press and hold buttons SETUP and CAR.
After couple of seconds hidden green menu will appear. You can now release the buttons.
Navigate to diagnose > settings > Tel settings misc.
Check current value in this line and switch to value with "BT/HFP" instead of "no BT/no HFP".
Press RETURN and CAR buttons at the same time to exit hidden green menu.
Restart MMI 3G with key combination
Connect your diagnostic interface with module 5F - Control Head.
Choose procedure 10 - Adaptation.
Choose Channel 17 and read stored value (should be 0).
Enter new value: 1
Save new adaptation value.
Exit.

MMI starts with the q7 and then shuts off

you have a short somewhere, it sounds like a wire is touching something and is shorting out everything just check your wires and make sure they all are connected properly hope that helps
