Here is the site for the driver.
http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DWL-G510&rev=DWL-G510

Dlink does not have a configuration utility for this device, so it may be that there was not one offered. Instead you can use the zero configuration utility with Windows XP.

It also states that this device has been discontinued; the driver is the 1st release driver and has not been updated.

select the DWL-G510 driver to download it, or if you have the h/w rev.2 click the FAQ and select the option for a missing "wlanapi.dll" file. There is an updated driver for this revision on the link to that FAQ resolution. For ease of use it is here:
http://www.dlink.com/products/?tab=3&pid=DWL-G510&rev=DWL-G510_revB

Good luck and I hope this helps.

The device manager shows that the D-link Airplus G DWL-G510 is working properly. I have XP - SP3. But when I try to set up the network, it says that media not connected and ti=o check that the wireless...

Are you trying to connect to the wireless network ?
You are using windows XP computer. and you have D-link adapter.
In case of windows XP computer there is built in utility to connect to the wireless network. and also you have Dlink utility to connect to the wireless network.
It will be better to use the Windows utility to connect to the wireless network.
Search for the wireless network and you will see your wireless network. I believe you have the wireless router.

Is there any driver for linux for this product-DWL-G510 Wireless G Desktop Adapter......?if so do i get its source code?

A quick Google search suggests that there are at least three different versions of the DWL-G510 and that Rev B might work with the madwifi drivers. Otherwise, you may want to consider using ndiswrapper with the Windows drivers. I've had good luck with ndiswrapper.
