Asko D1976 dishwasher, water flow does not stop

Hi Ned, My earlier info was a bit sketchy.
had the F2 fault and did the usual sump clean/dry, but this time iI have another problem
The water starts flowing when I put the power on and does not stop, checked the float, when activated this starts the drain pump and shows F2 fault, checked the level switch OK.
Water inflow only stops when the power switch is off.
Have used the machine by controlling the water manually cycle is OK
