Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.

The dreaded F1 code is saying the the Electronic Range Control (ERC) is bad.

This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane) ribbon from the ERC.
This will be a flat wire ribbon approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least 30 minutes to see if the F1 code comes back (This is usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If the F1 code comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Again if you have the all in one where there is no ribbon from the clock to the ERC and you get the F1 code simply replace the range control ERC.

On the all in one assemblies there have been occasions where there was a problem with the OVEN TEMP SENSOR wires that caused the F1 error! Make sure you inspect the temp sensor wiring.
This is exactly what the service manual tell us to do (edited) with the exception of the temp sensor wiring causing the F1 error.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

How do you set the minutes on the clock?

There are two ways to set the clock on your coffee maker. 1- When you initially plug in the coffee maker, the unit will beep and "12:00" will flash on the LCD display for a few seconds. Press immediately the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. If "12:00" starts to flash, press the PROG button (n) for a few seconds until the "12:00" flashes again. Then press the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. There are AM and PM indicators on the top right side of the LCD screen. To set the current minutes, press the PROG button (n) and then press the h/min button (o) until the correct minutes appear on the LCD display. After 5 seconds, the unit will beep and the time will stop flashing. 2- At any other time, you can set the clock or change the set time by pressing and holding the h/min button (o). The unit will beep and "12:00" will flash on the LCD display. Use the h/min button (o) to set the current hour. There are AM and PM indicators on the top right side of the LCD screen. To set the current minutes, press the PROG button (n) and then press the h/min button (o) until the correct minutes appear on the LCD display. After 5 seconds, the unit will beep and the time will stop flashing. Notes: Your clock has now been set and will continue to keep the correct time, even after the coffee maker has been shut off. Unplugging the coffee maker or a power failure will reset the clock to 12:00 AM. Repeat the instructions above to reset the clock

We cannot turn the oven on! No instruction manual. The 'A' is flashing on the 'clock'/timer - what does this mean?

This means it is in auto mode. It must be in manual mode for the oven to work. Turn the oven to ON. Some clocks have 2 or 3 buttons. Press the buttons at the same time/try all different combinations. This might take a few minutes, be patient. When the oven indicator lights the clock is in manual mode.

What does error code f 1 mean on an electic range if i hit clear the beeping stops but comes back on in a few seconds

Copied from another website:
How to test many brands of Ranges that are flashing a F1 fault code: You have either a bad ERC (clock) or a bad touch pad.
  1. Disconnect power to stove
  2. Gain access to the back of the clock (electronic range control or ERC).
  3. Unplug the touch pad ribbon connector from the ERC. This will be a flat wire approx. 1 1/2" to 2" wide.
  4. Make sure everything is clear and will not short out when power is turned back on.
  5. Turn power back on to stove.
  6. Watch for the F1 and listen for the beep.
  7. If you get the F1 and beep, replace the ERC.
  8. If after approx. 30 minutes you do NOT get the F1 and hear the beep, replace the touch pad.
NOTE: Some models incorporate the touch pad and the clock as one part

HOw do you set the clock on an RCA RP9328A stereo without remote?

I have this system. According to the manual you have to do the following. 1. Press and hold the TIMER/CLOCK button until CLOCK appears in the display under the time. 2. Press the SET button once and the hour will flash. 3. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend to the correct hour. 4. Press the SET button again and the minutes will flash. 5. Use the << or >> buttons to ascend or descend tot he correct minutes. The time will flash for a few seconds and be set when it stops. I have tried those steps and you may have to do them a few times in order to get the time right. It's a little tricky. I haven't bothered to reset the time as I have other devices that display the time without the back and forth with this device. It's a nice system and the sound is okay for my purposes. Hope this helps.
