Since a power cut yesterday, our Tecnik 8522 oven has flashing 'A' (Auto) on the clock & the bottom oven does not work. I know I have to reset the time to get te A off but no buttons work on the facia at all, so I cannot reset the clock / turn off Auto. Is there a user fix for this? (I don't really want to have to get a new oven because the clock doesn't work... we don't use the clock at all). Thanks

Thanks Blackmar, Could be the answer I'm looking for...
I'm a fairly competent DIY-er but not an electrician. I'm assuming this is bypassing the control mechanism of 'Auto' which sounds like a good idea. I'm thinking I'll have to take the oven out of it's 'built-under' housing to get at these wires. But do you know where the active and oven load wires are, in relation to the layout of the oven and what colours they are? (as I doubt they'll be labelled). Thanks again.

If you cannot change it from auto. to manual it doesn't mean you need a new oven. The electronic timer can be by-passed fairly easily by joining the active and oven load wire together..

Testimonial: "Fab... just done the necessary changes - connected blue & red wires on LHS (as you view from the front) and hey presto all is working :-) thanks"

The electronic timer normally has 3 wires going to it. One is an active to give it power and the 2nd is a neutral to run the timer unit. The 3rd is the load which is for the oven. You will have to remove the back off the oven. Trace the wire which runs back to the main active terminal or fuse. This is obviously the active. The neutral will run back to the main neutral or will tap off another neutral which will eventually run back to the main neutral. The load will go straight to the oven thermostat. If you still want the timer to work piggyback off the active and loop over to the load wire and piggyback onto that one using spade terminals. If you dont need the timer just remove the active and load and join them straight together. Just make sure the connection is insulated somehow.

After a power cut in our area my camberley double oven clock continuously flashing in the auto mode how can i stop it flashing and get my cooker working again.

First I would say to unplug it wait a couple seconds and plug it back in case it got a power surge from the power going . Then reset the clock! Right now it's set in a power saving mode until you do the steps above!

We had a power cut, now I can't get the oven to work the auto light is flashing but when I turn the knob for the oven it won't come on.

You need to reset the oven from auto to manual setting.
This is done by pressing 2 or more buttons on the timer at the same time to reset it, until you do this, the oven will not work

I have a Tecnik TKC 8522 double oven - I can't get the bottom oven to heat up. When you turn it on the fan comes on, but the red light doesn't come on and the oven doesn't heat up.

If the red light does not come on, then this suggests that the oven thermostat or control switch is fault.
Even if the element was faulty, the red light shuld still come on.
