When i put hd video onto my computer from my nikon coolpix p100 camer the audio is fine but the video is choppy

When a camera formats a card it wants control of that card. It something else changes the card the first camera will think the card is corrupted and in a way it has. Cards are not that expensive. Please use one card in one camera and back up you files on a computer.. I have found NO problem with deleting folders on my cameras using the computer. You typically can REMOVE photos on a COMPUTER you should ONLY let the camera ADD photos. use one Card for one camera.

That is a graphics card/processor problem on your pc rather than a problem with the camera. If you record in high def you'll need a pc with a decent processor, plenty of ram & decent graphics card to get decent playback. Try selecting 'view half size' in whatever you are using to watch the videos.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use Nikon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.

If the camera came with a usb cord use it and observe if the computer recognises it.It will give you a dialog box asking you what to do.If not get the memory out of the camera and put it to your cpu card reader (if it has one).Download the photos from there.
