When I place the entire pronto 2 in 1 on the charging base, the blue light comes on as if it is charging. After only a few seconds the blue light goes off. I have tried unplugging it, hoping that may "reset" things but it didn't change anything. Any ideas?

Take the small vac. out of the main unit. Check the contacts on the inside of the main unit and also on the back side of the small vac. Be sure they are all clean and that none are bent. Check also the back of the main unit to the base contacts; same here make sure they are clean and free of dirt. Check the transformer wire from the wall to the base fell for hot spots or kinks. If all these things are in good shape, last ditch is to put the small vac. in a zip lock freezer bag and put it in the freezer over night and then try to re-charge it. It that does not help. It should have some warranty left. I think it has a year of warranty. See web site >>>> Warranty Info. Hope this helps.

The battery replacement for the PRONTO is not a consumer level maintenance procedure. However, you can replace the 4 original EMX1600sS batteries . The battery model is Tenergy 2/3A Size Rechargeable Battery 1.2V 1600mAh NiMH W/ Tabs Those are a little smaller than the originals but with the same capacity of 1600mAh and can be easily found in the web. Anything under those specs should work.

Then also there may be a recall on the transformer charger unit. Check with Support for there help on that.

Dyson v6: It looks like it stopped charging.

If it's only 2 weeks old, you could have a defective either charging system or just a bad battery. Most places offer free replacement within 30 days of purchase. I would take it back to your place of original purchase. I hope that helps!

Why doesn't my battery charge? Why doesn't the charger's light come on?

Hi Suzanne! Follow these steps to check that your charger and battery are working properly.

1. Unplug the charger for at least 30 seconds.
2. Plug the charger back in. The blue light on the charger should flash once.

If the blue light flashes once this is an indication that the charger is still functioning properly. If the blue light does not flash, the charger will need to be replaced. Follow this link to order a replacement charger. LiNX Battery Charger

3. Place the battery in the vacuum and turn it on for 30 seconds. (even if it does not turn on or powers off)
4. Turn the vacuum off.
5. Remove the battery and place it in the charger.

If the light on the charger is solid blue this is an indication that the battery has been reset. Allow 3-4 hours for the battery to fully charge. The blue light will start to blink slowly to indicate the battery is fully charged.

If the light on the charger is flashing blue or there is no light at all this can mean that your battery needs to be replaced. Follow the link to order a replacement battery. LiNX Lithium Ion Battery

Hope this helps!

The blue light doesn't stay on. What do I do?

Hi Alec from VacuumSpot here. In Australia these are sold as the ergo rapido. The most likely culprit is the charger itself we sell loads of Electrolux Ergo Rapido Chargers basically the best bet is to measure the output of the charger to see if it is working properly (watch video) if it isnt then simply replace the charger. If it is then replace the vacuum handset - Electrolux have made the handsets real cheap so you dont have to do a repair on battery or motor.

How do I know if it is charging

On your stand there are blue lights that show when it is charging the vacuum. If plugged up with out the vacuum on the base the lights do not show. Once you set the Vacuum on the base the blue lights indicate that it is charging.

The blue lights on the charger base for the pronto stick vac go out after about 5 seconds and the vacuum is not working. What do I do?

check that the contacts are connecting and are clean of debris. If they are you can check the charging plug to confirm it is putting out 15v if not replace the charging plug. this is a common problem. you can get parts online at http://www.vacpartswarehouse.com/Electrolux-EL1000B-BZ-Pronto-Stick-Vac-s/3734.htm?gclid=CKDFg_3Jv7kCFc4-Mgody1wAjg

good luck

My Electrolux pronto is slow to start, if it operates at all. The light on the charger doesn't stay on for more than a few seconds. Is it the charger, the battery, or the vacuum? Has hapened in the last...

I just wanted Electrolux to know that this is the Pronto 2-1 is the worst product I ever purchased. I thought after I received the new battery because of the recall it would work.
When I was going to purchase the stick broom I was going to get the Shark but because I knewElectrolux was a good name in products I decided to purchase the Electrolux which I truly regret because it was just a waste of money

Not charging. Lights up momentarily, then goes out

Sounds like it. How long have you had the vacuum? That's one of the draw backs of wireless vacuums. On top of providing less than adequate suction, the batteries have poor life spans. I suggest you go back to where you purchased it from and see if they can help you with a new battery
