When we try to use the Navman and type in an address, it goes back to the start and asks if we are driving, then goes to ask if we accept or decline license agreement.
This happens repeatedly and the device does not function as it should.
It also doesnt seem to be picking up a GPS signal as the dish icon is red. When we try to use the Navman and type in an address, it goes back to the start and asks if we are driving, then goes to ask if we accept or decline license agreement.

All you have to do is load up the NavDesk 2008 sofware which comes with the CD, delete all the maps on your Navman, and reload it back into it from the CD. Problem fixed !!

The second option should allow you to download the update and then you will have to follow the instructions and connect your gps to the computer via usb cable.
Insert a Needle or straightened out Paper Clip in the Side of your Navman S30..It,s on the left Hand Side ( while looking at the Screen) 7 it is covered with a Rubber Plug..There are 2 Holes under this Plug--1 is for an External Aerial & the other is the Reset Hole...
Hope that Advice helps
You should be able to install your old map from the DVD/CD that originally came with your Navman - you don't need a Product Key for this, even if it prompts you for one.
It appears that the commercially available 2009 map for the S-Series does *not* cover the S30 3D, just the non-3D versions, although that's not at all obvious from what's on Navman's web-site, so you have my sympathies if you bought it expecting it to work...
When I turn my unit on all I can see is the accept/decline screen. The unit will not load the maps. How can I fix this? Step 1
Connect your Navman Device to your computer via a USB cable.
Turn on your device and you will see a connection screen appear. Step 2
Wait a few Seconds until a window appears on your desktop and then select “open folder to view” by double clicking on it
Step 3
Once you have opened this folder you will need to double click on “My Documents”
Step 4
Once my documents is opened locate and files that starts with “LOG00” and also “My Mileage” and delete them
Step 5
Once the above steps are done you may disconnected your unit from the computer.
Turn your unit on and enter your main menu page 2/2 and select “Preferences” then select “Route Options”
Once this is selected go to page 4/4 and un-tick “Enable GPS data logging” and “Enable trip recording”
Your unit is ready to use and will run a lot smoother due to increasing unwanted data and freeing space to increase optimum performance. We suggest that you follow these steps once a month to ensure optimal performance.
These steps will work on the S50, S80 or S90i. If you are experiencing this issue on an S30 or any other device, please contact Navman Technical Support on 1300 628 626.
I used this personally on my S80 after it died during my work as a Security Patrol officer and I was not happy, its all fixed now and I have my Nokia N95 loaded with the same places just in case.
