You have to slide the power button on the side bar away from where it says hold means lock slide it
away from where it says hold because hold means lock so move that button somewhere to the middle between the power and hold
button and it should then
unlock it worked for me good luck
The power switch on the side doubles as the lock. Slide it down (away from the "HOLD" position) to unlock it.

There should be a lock/unlock button on the opposite side of your mp3 player other buttons. Slide the button to the left, and it should unlock. I hope this helps.

To upload file to the COBY MP3 player, I went to setting, went to USB setting's, changed MTP mode to MSC mode then I was able to get access to folders with-in the mp3 player.

If you are sure they went into teh player..than you should check the memory first ..and see how much of it is free and used..This way you will know if the files are somewhere on the player's memory or not ..After that if you think they are present somewhere ...just get into main menu ...choose explorer (not the setup but the explore menu ) ..and look in all folders one by one ..and see where they were put in ..It may be the case that you selected a different folder for them ..and now the player fails to look in the correct location for them ..
Another action ...in this case is to connect it to the computer...Explore the files and see where they are ...save them into computer first ..by copy them ...and after that ..remove the player from the connection ...and select the setup menu in the main one ...and select format ...and format its memory complete ..This will remake the system folders and optimize the functions for them ...After that connect it back ..and use its manager to upload files from computer ..and let the default location for them ..no change ..This way you will have them in the correct location and the player will find and play them ..
