My 911.45461,68,65,69 drop in stove. The door locked and would not unlock. The breaker was turned off and it remained locked until we finally got it unlocked a couple of days later. Now it is unlocked but nothing works on the stove. If you turn the knobs for the burners, the light inside the stove flashes and burners do not work. It is 13 to 14 years old and were have been receiving pf5 errors for a few months but they were always easy to reset. Should we consider repair or buy a new one? Otherwise it is in great shape.

It will unlock once the temperature drops. This is a safety feature.

Check the breaker for your kitchen even if it isn't flipped, flip it off and on again.. I had the same problem it turned out that my dryer and stove were on the same breaker, so I couldn't run them both at the same time.

Check and make sure your pump or filter is not clogged, then next I would suspect you have a faulty door lock mechanism

Is water hooked up to the washer?

The door will remained locked while draining water. If during installation the washer was plugged in and turned on without water hoses attached, the washer may attempt to drain for 8 minutes before the door unlocks. Let the washer run until the door unlocks. Do not turn off the washer or unplug the washer.
Does water remain in the washer after the final spin?

If water remains in the washer after the final spin, then the door will not unlock. Select Drain/Spin or Spin Only to remove any remaining water from the washer. The door should unlock at the end of the cycle. For models that have Rinse/Drain & Spin, push the Extra Rinse button to turn off the rinse to remove excess water.
Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light on?

If the Add A Garment light is on, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed once. Pressing the Start button will restart the washer at the same point where it left off in the cycle.
Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light off?

If the Add A Garment light is off, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed twice. The door will not immediately unlock while the cycle is running due to a possible high-water level in the washer, high-water temperature, tumbling or spinning. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock. You will hear the door click when it unlocks.

F5E1 is door latch assembly. One way that may work to unlock is to turn circuit breaker to stove off for few seconds then turn back on and door lock should activate and unlock. If not you are going to have to replace the door lock assembly.

We have a Kitcheaid gas stove and have had 3 new thermostats installed. After the 3 time it finally did it's first full cleaning cycle.

So three service calls later, (first was after the warranty) and three thermosats and over $500 and the stove has done it's first full cleaning.

Lots of examples of this same problem but it seems no recall on the stoves.

unplug or turn off breaker to stove for 10 minutes...then try to gently open.....the oven has to be completely cool before it will unlock....when cleaning is done release lock before turning cleaning off

The question isn't that clear as to what your problem is but try unplugging the stove or turning the power off to the stove at your main fuse/breaker box and then turn it back on. You should then have the oven door unlocked

you would have to disassemble the cook top in order to get the the locking mechanism to manualy unlockit

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. F9 code: An F9 code indicates the EOC has detected a problem with the motor door latch assembly. Check the contacts of the lock switch, wiring to the lock motor assembly, and the lock motor.
