Switch settings on stanley garage door opener

I have a Stanley model 3200 garage door. The remote is a generic one with 10 pin settings. "Someone" got ahold of it and changed the pin settings. Do you know the correct configuration?

Thank you!

Stanley garage door opener model 440. need a manual

If you can identify the model number, it may be possible to locate a manual from 1997 using the internet with http://www.google.com

According to one of the web sites above, "Stanley stopped making garage door openers and gate operators in 1997. Spare parts can be difficult to find however original and compatible remote controls are still widely available, most of the remote controls used by Stanley were manufactured by the Linear corporation.
Stanley made garage door openers for other companies and many parts are interchangeable some of the brands they manufactured for are Vemco, U-Install, Quiet Glide, Light Maker, Home Innovative, Whistler, Popular Mechanics, and Secure Code."

I have a Stanley garage door opener, not sure of model, maybe 88426. Thats the only number i can find on it. I need to program a generic remote but no clue to settings

You will need a universal remote and use the part of the directions for dipswitch's. You will find a row of small white switches on the back of the motor and the remote will need to match it. If you have another working remote you can get the switch sequence of the remote instead of the motor

I bought a house with an old (1980's) Sears garage door opener. I have two Stanley remotes that were in the house at the time of purchase. The opener works fine at the hardwired button in the garage but I...

On the remotes put switch #1 in either position and match up switches 2 through 10 to the dipswitches on the motor unit. There is a good possibility your receiver has quit working.

Door opens on it own and light blinks

  • Stuck remote control button. Check all remotes. check LED on receiver.
  • Staples around Multi-Function Control Panel bell wire could be cutting into that wire. Remove wires from opener and test. Replace staples causing intermittent short.
  • Multi-Function Control Panel could have sticking door control push bar. Remove wires from control panel and test. Replace control panel if defective.
