I have a JBL model # MR-6.2 and it has started to act up. When I turn it on it is locked into one radio station mode and won't allow me to switch modes. It also does not shut off when the power button is pushed. I have had to push the reset button to shut the unit off and when I turn the power button back on the same series of events occurs How can I correcr this problem. This unit came mounted in a spa I purchased from a dealer a couple years back and they are not even sure what is causing this or how to fix it. Please help

SOURCE: JBL MR-4 CD doesn't eject

The unit probably doesn't think there is a CD inside. Possible doing a soft reset will fix this. Do so by powering the unit and putting a ball point or other pointed object into the reset button opening either on the face of the radio or behind the face. A hard reset can be done by disconnecting constant power from the unit for approximately 15 seconds.
If either of these methods fail, then your unit has a bad CD mechanism or more than 1 CD inside the player. In that case, the unit will have to be serviced by an electronics repair or a local stereo shop. This is a Marine radio, and if installed on a boat, this problem is not too uncommon. Moist air can cause damage to the unit as well as the bouncing on the water that boats do.

SOURCE: JBL MR-17.2 not recognizing Sirius satellite receiver.

I have the exact same issue. I have swapped with two identical MR17.2 radios and swapped out the sirius receiver. No change. I even bought a remote thinking I had to have a remote installed to get it to work...still no diff. Have you ever found a solution?

JBL Marine MR-15B radio/cd player. When I press any button unit changes from mono to stereo and that is all it will do?

Question edited for clarity, proper 'make model (what it is)'.

I can't find a manual, but they have a common theme. Remove the faceplate and press the Reset Button, then clean the contacts both sides with electrical switch cleaner or Isopropyl Alcohol.

Jbl radio A56840 loses station presets and no volume

Toyota vehicles have a fuse in the kick for the amp and sometimes there is located under the hood ... This is the switch turn on for the amp ... And 1 of the fuses is most likely the memory or constant power. B sure to check all fuses ... I do not have AllData pulled up . If the fuses are all good the amp or radio may be bad ... Or both ... Be sure to check all the fuses ... Many times I get clients that say allthe fuses are good and it is still the first thing I check ..Usually is a fuse ..Good Luck

I have a JBL MR-17.2 Sirius Ready stereo

To get your Sirius ID number from you MR-17 JBL stereo, select the Mode button until it displays "Sirius". Then push and hold the Mode button for a couple seconds and it will chirp and display 3 blank spaces. Enter three zeros, "000" in these 3 spaces. The Zero is the loud button labeled "LD". When you do that, it will display your Sirius ID number. :)
