The sandpaper will come off for one of these reasons: 1. The spring clips are to loose to hold the sandpaper. 2. You are using sandpaper that the paper's either too thick for the clips to hold it or too thin to withstand the work you are putting it through. 3. (Most likely) You are pushing down on the sander too hard while sanding. These types of sanders work by their own weight with only a little help from you.

Black and decker 7404 what sheets do i get

The standard sheets for this sander will be the same width as the bottom pad and about 1-2" longer. The sheets clamps under the clips at each end. Use a screwdriver to leverage the clamp up allowing the sheet to be inserted under the clamp and then let it down to clamp the sheet in place. On many older units, these clamps get weak over time and this can cause the sheet to slip out. By folding the end of the sheet over a time or two, this will make a small section of the sheet thicker and will help the clamp to hold it in place.

There is also a link here http://www.ehow.com/how_8384633_change-decker-7404-finishing-sander.html to change the sheet which is basically the same thing.

The actual pre-cut sanding sheets will be advertised as 1/3 sheet such as this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00448EZ32?psc=1

It can be cheaper to by full sized sheets and cut them down as needed as you will get more bang for the buck.

I'm getting a little sand in the discharge during back wash

that is usually caused by damage to the fingers (laterals) on the standpipe. most times this damage comes from improper winterization or when sand is changed by non professional

How do you know if your hayward s 200 is not running right

sand in your pool is a sign that you may have damage inside your sand filter. it is not uncommon for laterals to break during winter months. also, as the sand wears, it becomes smaller and may pass through.
remember that the filter sand is white. if you have sand in the pool that doesnt look like filter sand, you may have a problem with a broken line back to pool. keep an eye on your water level as you will lose water with this scenario

How to change sanding pad

Here is a link to the manual to your Royobi p400. You can download it. Tried to copy & paste the illustrations but they did not show up. Go to page 14 of the manual. Looks pretty easy, just peel down from top. Good luck. & happy Sanding.

CHANGING SANDING SHEETS AND PADS
HOOK-AND-LOOP
See Figure 8.
PAD
The sander is packed with sanding sheets and scrubbing
pads designed for a variety of uses. To change sheets and
SANDING
pads, simply pull the used sheet off the base and attach the
SHEET
desired sheet by pressing the sheet or pad onto the base
of the sander.
ROTATING THE SANDING SHEETS
See Figure 9.
The majority of wear in a precision sanding application occurs
at the tip of the sanding sheet. The unique Tri-Flex design of
the sanding sheets allows you to detach and rotate the top
two thirds of each and extend the life of the sheet.
To rotate the top of the sheet, simply remove the top two
thirds along the perforation. Rotate the sheet so that a clean
corner is located at the tip of the base. Press the sheet firmly
onto the pad.
NOTE: Scrubbing and polishing pads are not perforated
and cannot be rotated.

Sheets how to wash do not fade?

I believe it's Tide, I could be wrong, but one of the major brands has
a detergent that helps to keep colors from fading. Also, don't wash them in hot water. The new detergents work just as well in cold
water as they do in hot. If you can line dry them, during the day when they can get a breeze, without being in the sun, that might
help keep your colors from bleaching out. If the sheets are from
your sons bed, you might think about getting some of those pads
like the hospital uses. You know the blue ones that they always
put under you on the bed. They make some that are pretty big.
I would check at a Walgreens or CVS. They should carry them.

I replaced the rubber sanding pad but the screw keeps backing out during operation.

Some pads come with a new screw that has loc-tite on them. If you used the old screw when you put the new pad on, the loc-tite was probably dry and flaking off. Put a small drop of loc-tite on the threads, snug it down and let it sit over night and it won't come out anymore.

This is the second time...there is sand in the washing machine after a wash (and sand in the sheets)

There is no other way that sand could have come in unless through the inlet water line or sand previously lodged into the tub into the clothing. To check this out remove inlet line and check for damage in filter. If not check inside your tub for traces of sand.Remove drain hose/drain valve and clean external tub to wash away all dirt using a jet wash.
hope this helps

Putting Sanding paper on makita sander

A makita power planer is just what it says, a planer. It has blades that spin at high speed and remove a thin layer of wood with each pass. The orbital sanding sheets go on another tool called an orbital sander. Write back if you find the sander and can not figure out how the sheets go on it.

There's sand in my pool!

I have had this issue with several clients and before worrying, you might have had sand being drawn back into pool lines during winterization. this happens when you blow out lines, plug holes, but keeping it pressurized. if it keeps happening check draw fins on bottom of filter.
