The air-gap between the ignition coil module and the magnets of the flywheel is a close tolerance. It is adjusted to about .010"-.012". This is approximately the same as the thickness of a standard size business card. I double the cover and let the magnets on the flywheel (lined up with the coil legs) pull it in tight 9compressing the paper card) and then tighten the adjustment screws. The screws have been known to vibrate loose and the gap would be lost. You can use threadlocker on the screws (optional) or just tighten them down well. Too large an air-gap is bad, but the closer the air-gap, the stronger the spark.
If you use thread lock on the screws, make sure to use the removable type:
