I got a un60es610fxza the power button flashes and it has a popping noise when trying to turn it on

The symptoms you've described, including a flashing power button and a popping noise when trying to turn on the TV, indicate potential issues with the power supply or other internal components. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Unplug and Wait: Disconnect the TV from the power source and wait for about 10-15 minutes. Then, plug it back in and attempt to turn it on. This allows the TV to reset and can sometimes resolve temporary issues.
  2. Check Power Supply: Verify that the power supply to the TV is stable. Ensure the power outlet is functioning correctly, and try plugging the TV into a different outlet. If possible, test the TV with a different power cable.
  3. Inspect for Physical Damage: Examine the TV for any visible signs of physical damage, such as burnt components or damaged cables. If you notice any, it may indicate a hardware problem that requires professional repair.
  4. Perform a Hard Reset: Some TVs have a reset button or a specific procedure for a hard reset. Refer to the TV's manual or contact the manufacturer for instructions on how to perform a hard reset.
  5. Check for Error Codes: Look for any error codes or diagnostic indicators on the TV. Refer to the user manual or contact the manufacturer's support for information on interpreting error codes.
  6. Professional Inspection: If the issue persists, it's advisable to seek professional help. A certified technician can diagnose and repair internal components, such as the power supply or main board, if necessary.
  7. Contact Manufacturer Support: Reach out to the manufacturer's customer support for guidance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps based on the symptoms you've described.
Given the popping noise, it's important to exercise caution and avoid attempting repairs if you are not familiar with electronics. Internal components of a TV can carry high voltages, and improper handling may lead to injury or further damage.
If the TV is still under warranty, consider contacting the manufacturer for warranty support or instructions on the next steps. If not, seeking professional assistance is recommended for a thorough diagnosis and repair.

My DSC-F707 won't record images.

Sounds like the CCD has developed a fault. I had a F717 which had similar faults but this turned out to be a batch of faulty CCD's which I know the F707 shared. This maybe why Sony are not keen to get involved as it will cost them money. JVC had a similar problem with some of it's Camcorders using a similar CCD and they replaced them FOC even those well out of warranty. Keep trying with Sony and mention the CCD and serial number of the F707 and see if it is one of the faulty batch.
