Canon 60d built in flash will not pop up.

The external flash mount (hot shoe) has a small sliver of metal which when the external flash gun is slid on pushes it down to tell the body to not use the pop-up flash and some times the sliver doesn't return fully up to contact the underside of the hotshoe

Use of Canon 60D's wireless function to control power on Canon 430EXII, being operated manually.

Your flash will fire optically. This is wireless but not radio. On the flashgun window move through the options until you see all of these in the window :- Flashing M, MZoom (24mm) (the power output eg) 1/4 Flashgun icon CH1 Slave (blank) The front panel should show a flashing red light. This means it is ready to receive the light signal from your onboard flash. From the camera menu select the in built flash control. Set it to - Built-in flash - CustWireless Flash mode - Manual flash Wireless func - (single flashgun icon) Channel- 1 ch firing group - (flashgun icon)All (flashgun icon) flashoutput - 1/64 selecting 1/64 should be sufficient to trigger the flash gun but not light the scene. Manually pop up the onboard flash In the view finder you'll see a number of green bars when half pressing the shutter and wait for them to go down to one which mean the camera and flashgun are communicating, fully press to take the shot and the flash (off camera) should fire.

72 dpi instead of 300dpi

You do this in your editor. In photoshop you go Image -> Image Size and you'll see resolution set at 300 as default just change the 300 to 72.

I can take pictures no problem but LCD screen doesn't show preview. In addition, my menu and info and preview buttons don't work when pressed.

You probably have a dead (dry) LCD or it is not powered. You will need to have it properly checked by an authorized service person to determine the cause.

I cannot give you a straight answer. It all depends. You cannot tell for sure what has happened and in which phase of the file writing things happened to go wrong. If it's just stuck there, it might be possible that it already finished writing but stays in a loop. What it does by writing is to first look in the FAT-table on the disc wich places can be used to write data. If it found area's, it starts writing and at the end it will update that same FAT-table that the space it occupies cannot be used anymore. If you stop in that proces, chances are that the FAT-table gets corrupted and the card will give an error when you try to read. No big problem as every disc tool can rebuild a FAT-table from the data thats been stored on the disc. If there was a more severe error that started overwriting data on the disc in a unpredictable manner, you're doomed. Either way, no other option than to remove the battery, remove the card an see what's the damage and try to recover the images...... Afterwards, just format the card and test it. Card may still work after that. Good luck!

Hi there. i owned a Canon EOS 60D model camera. The problem is, its AF option is not working except Auto n 'C' modes. While i am trying to use it in M mode with AF, its not working but in auto mode an

Are you sure you did not put the AF/ MF switch in the wrong position? Although I don't think it would focus in Auto mode. In all other modes, are you sure you selected a (or more) focus point(s) in the centre of the frame? When the selected focus point is on the side of the frame it won't focus on the parts you want it to focus. Then while pointing to the point you want the camera to focus, please press the shutter release button half and what till it focusses. Then press it the whole way down. Be aware the camera needs enough light to focus and certainly can't focus with a lens wit a min aperture of 6 or a larger number. On your 18-135 you can shoot at f16 because it will first focus on wide open and only close the aperture after you pressed the button.
