Hi, I have just bought this Blower Vac from my pal and the manual has been lost. What is the proportion of oil to petrol for my Talon Blower-***-Vac and also what oil do I use. Thanks

If its a hand held Vac/Blower then I don't know of any that aren't 2 stroke.
Your part number isn't much help, you're welcome to post a picture of it. As I say, if its handheld and petrol then it will be a 2 stroke. Mix ratio is generally 50:1 That's 100ml of oil in 5L of petrol. Some manufacturers use a ratio of 40:1 which if used in the wrong machine can seize the engine, doing more damage, so stick to the 50:1 ratio to be on the safe side.
It's very difficult to find information for this specific mower, however, most petrol mowers have a reservoir size of 1 pint / 0.5 litre. You should have a dipstick for checking the oil level anyway.
Basically, I suggest you drain the sump and add 0.5 litres of oil to ensure that the machine is neither low on oil or overfilled. Then call/email the manufacturer on Monday for clarification and/or a new manual.
Mix your fuel in a 1 gallon gas can. you can buy a predetermined little bottle of oil for your fathers leaf blower anywhere with a lawn and garden department. use 40:1 2 stroke oil.
you are not going to hurt the unit if you run a 20:1 ratio on the unit until your friend gets ahold of you and then lets you know the proper ratio. when I use mine I do a 20:1 ratio and sometimes I just guess and have had the same blower for over 6 years now. McCulloch is apart of husqvarna and ushally theirs are a 20:1 ratio as well on the smaller units. bigger the unit ushally the bigger the ratio.
