Ok this sounds crazy but take out the batteries and your sd memory card. Wait five seconds. Put ONLY BATTERIES back in the camera. Turn it back on. It should not show the "sensor fail" message now.
Put in the sd card while camera is on. It will say "memory full" in red letters. Ignore this.
Turn the camera off using the on/off switch. Turn the camera back on using the on/off switch.
It's been a while since you've posted, but I hope this helps! It worked for my camera anyhow :)
Ok this sounds strange, but it worked for me.
First- Take out batteries and SD memory card.
Second- Wait 5 seconds.
Third- Put only the batteries back in the camera
Fourth- Turn on camera. (the "sensor fail" message should not appear. If it does, repeat the first four steps until the message goes away)
Fifth- Add the SD card while the camera is still on. (The camera may say "memory full" in red lettering. Ignore it.)
Sixth- Turn off the camera using the red On/Off button.
Seventh- Turn it back on using the red On/Off button.
Your camera should now be working properly!
Sorry I didn't mean to post twice. The Fixya website kept telling me I wasn't logged in when I tried to post, and my posts weren't showing up when I came back to the question. Sorry!
