SOURCE: I have an etower 633

your machine is a little on the old side and can only hold a maximum of 256mb. That is 128mb chip per slot. Crucial does not sell it so your best bet would be an ebay search. you do not have to flash your bios to use the max ram, but you should check to see if there are other reasons to do so.

yes you can tere are a few tricks to get by so ou can but im 100% confident you can. Just make sure you save all your drivers

In short. NO
this pc has a maximum memory capacity of 256mb.
With the maximum memory installed and a bigger hard drive it would run with windows xp, but would be very slow, but with 2nd user pc so cheap you could buy a cheap tower/screen/kb and mouse very cheap.

Your license is still valid but you have to call Microsoft ( 1-800-805-4440) and provide them your product id so that they can generate the a new windows XP key for you or may be they will offer you Windows 7. Anyhow, you do not have to buy a new Windows XP key.

Windows xp is not instaling in my system
I presume you're trying to set up a dual boot system with XP and Win 7, you have to start by installing XP first then install win 7 on another partition, you can't install 7 first.

If you're getting rid of Win 7 in favour of XP just boot from XP disc and delete existing partition that has 7 on it and then install XP

Hi, have you installed any new hardware, software, updates or drivers before this happened? If so, go to safe mode ( press F8 while win bootup ) and remove the application. If this has totay nothing to do with installed software, it may be your RAM module failing... try to replace with a different one to get rid of the problem.

on windows xp the system will not freeze it will start warning you your out of disk space really the only way to get rid of windows 2000 and just use xp is to buy windows xp and install it fresh to compltly get rid of 2000 and the old verison of windows xp

Windows
You probably dont have Win XP in twice. You may have a reference to 2 WIN XPs when you start your computer. Your boot.ini can be edited to show just 1 WIN XP.

Here is how to edit it...Be careful how you change it, because if it is done wrong you will have to re-install your whole OS.
