We have a new Vizio M190VA . All we can get is a blue screen and "No signal". What do we do?

My Vizio Has a Blue Screen But Doesn't Shut Off Troubleshooting your Vizio TV requires that you first identify the source of the problem. Check Your Connections The connections leading to and from your Vizio TV may be responsible for your Vizio TV having a blue screen and failing to power down. Tighten the coaxial connections to your TV and firmly press in any HDMI, component or composite video cables connecting to your TV, then check the signal on your TV to see if the blue screen problem resolves itself.

Discharge Your TV's Memory Overcharged internal memory can lock up your Vizio TV and prevent it from changing channels or turning off. To discharge your TV, unplug your TV and press and hold the "Power" button for 30 seconds. Plug the TV back into the electrical outlet after 30 seconds and check to see if the problem persists.
Change Input
The input source connected to your TV may be malfunctioning and preventing your Vizio TV from powering off. The "Input" button on your remote will allow you to select a new input source. Cycle through input sources until you find one that displays an image on your screen and power the TV off. If this method works, you may need to replace the input source preventing your TV from turning on.

Power-Cycle Your Equipment Power-cycling your equipment can solve errors created by devices or with your TV's power supply. To power-cycle your equipment, unplug your TV from the electrical outlet along with any devices connected to your TV. Plug your TV back in and turn it on. Plug in each device, one at a time, and notice if your TV displays a blue screen or has trouble turning off. Repeat this process for each device connected to your TV and replace any devices causing problems with your TV.

Time to get a universal remote

Unfortunately. the HDMI port on the M190VA does not interpret the signal from a computer. The HDMI signal from a set-top box is different than that of a computer. You need to use the VGA port and the PC audio in on the TV; if your computer doesn't have a VGA port, use a DVI to VGA adapter or other appropriate adapter. You can if it has it connect to cable fitting and or the various av jacks on set---use original remote and switch inputs to make sure you are on the one you are hooked up to.

Whatever you have plugged into HDMI 5 is set to a resolution that exceeds the TVs ability to display. Try setting the source to 720p or 420p

Guys aucun signal just means no signal in french

The VGA cabel has vast signal capacity. However, the computer to has as much sigal cacity. The TV also has as much signal capacity as well. The computer in this situation is providing the signals to all devices connected to the insfrusture. However, the computer has a functionality requirements mode. For exaomple, the computer blankout whenever resolution is increased is n consideration of requirng so much power supply for all displays on several powerfun screens of much high defincition capapacity. The more high definition the computer, the possibility of powering signlas to TVs of much least intensity not vise verser.

If your television is displaying a blue screen or no signal message and then turning off, your TV may be at an inactive input. Here's how you can get back to watching your TV:
1. Powering on your TV and press the INPUT button on the VIZIO remote control repeatedly until a picture re-appears.
2. If this does not work, try again but press the button slower this time.

If the tuner is bad, changing the mainboard should fix the problem.
