Mitsubishi hdtv 1080 ws-a65 screen broke need replacement

there are 2 functionality screens and 1 screen protector (on some)
front screen = lenticular
back screen = fresnel
very front screen = screen protector (you can replace w plexiglass)

the fresnel and lenticular are very specific.. contact your local repair center for a new one. you can cut them from old screens but have to do just right (fresnel is a lens type - pic will be distorted if off center)

maybe find a old junker tv to pull screens from because new ones are about $100 a piece

Mitsubishi screen replacing

You must remove the front bezel and frame holder to replace the screen. You will usually see the screws holding the from from the rear of the unit. Once you get the frame off, take note of the way the old screen is installed. There is usually a label on one side near the bottom; the new screens must be installed with the label in the same location. The lenticular goes on the outside (facing the viewer) and the fresnel goes on the inside facing the mirror. You will be able to recognize the fresnel, it has a series of concentric circles that are raised on the sirface of the plastic Be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!

Broken lenticular screen

I have been looking around for one myself. And have actually resorted to calling all of the "Mom&Pop" repair shops in town to see if they have one in the backroom or something. The problem is that most of the finds you get for lenticular on the web have to do with advertising signs and baseball cards. These lenticular sheets are only similar in how they feel to the touch. The lenticular lense on a rear projection tv actually blocks the image behind it and diffuses the light at specific angles. It is also very likely the specific manufacturers used slightly different pitches in the viewing angle, so that you have to replace it with their screen. I will definately continue to watch this posting because I need one as well.

TOSHIBA 50A60,GOING TO REPLACE LENTICULAR SCREEN

It's pretty simple repair.  Pull bezel, unscrew braces around edges and swap screen out.  Where did you find the lenticular at?  I have the same TV and can't find the part online.
