My Hayward Tristar 1.50 HP pump is 3 years old, and recently developed a high-pitched humming noise that is causing a noise disturbance. The performance seems to be operating okay, but it never used to sound like this. What do I need to do to fix this noise?

Your heater will not work until you fix your pump, and your pump won't work until you replace the shorted out motor.

ASK HOW TO USE IT AND YOUR OFF.. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IS 230 240v IN THAT RANGE ON THE 2 WIRES ON THE BACK OF THE MOTOR... OR EVEN THE TIMER.. NO?.....BREAKER NO? REPLACE BREAKER... BREAKER YES.. The oil lines that run from tank to furnace is acting like a guitar string. As oil is being pumped through the pipe, it is humming. Try placing an old rug on the tank to see if it absorbs the hum.
