How do you transfer songs from the computer to an iPod or MP3 player? It is a Coby MP705.

It is very simple just connect your player to laptop through USB port. Then a pop up will come in your laptop that new hardware is installed and ready to open. Click it, you will find two storage drive one for with your mp3 player and another one will be with memory card. Open memory card there you will find songs.

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Hello, for media transfers onto the MP705 you can use either Coby Media Manager software or Windows Media Player 11.
(For fitting video, use the Video Converter software on a computer first.)

0. Install and update software for transfers on the computer.
1. Open the software program and connect the USB cable between the
player and the computer, to get the device detected in the software.
2. Create a playlist in the software.
3. Synchronize the playlist.

How to use the software Coby Media Manager or WMP 11, look in the Setup Guide.

When you use the Coby Media Manager software, go for the "Coby Media Manager fix for the MP822".
Once installed you can select the MP705 as your device for transfers.

go to windows media and then plug in your device to your computer, then wait... then delete the songs you dont want.

You can try formatting it or erasing all the songs manually - just plug your player in, go to 'my computer,' and click on your device. Then you can erase your songs manually. Hope this helps!
