My computer have no sounds? what can i do?after reformating my cpu the multimedia audio controller not working, i go to the device manager but cannot install

Is the computer completely silent ? not even giving windows signature tune when it boots to the desktop ?
Connect a headphone to the green port at the back panel and check.

You need to install the audio driver for motherboard using the cd that u must have got alongwith it. In case you dont have one, download it from the motherbd manufacturer's website.

If possible, reinstall the OS properly (disconnecting every cable from pc except power, keybd, mouse & monitor) alongwith motherboard audio driver.

clean your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is

no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the sound card and the CPU central processing unit

dust causes static to build up in a computer

I just reloaded my system with Win XP Pro SP2 and can't get audio to work on external speakers. I am using a DFI Infinity NF4 MB. I have reloaded this system many times before and everything has worked...

My computer cannot detect my multimedia audio controller

Download Microsoft UAA drivers for your O/S
Uninstall your sound drivers through device manager. then install the UAA drivers and REBOOT
then install your sound drivers
The only thing I can think of was you did not reboot after installing UAA drivers

No sound and audio after reformating my computer

Then go to control panel,system ,hardware ,device manager option
There if u find any question mark or exclamation mark in yellow Color that means sound drivers are not installed properly
please reinstall sound drivers properly

or else

In control panel , select sound audio devices open it there u have
volume,sounds,audio,voice,hardware options

1)See whether it is mute
2)In audio option select default audio device and recording device
should be same

this should solve u r problem .if it is not solved please let me know u r problem briefly

or else put the model number and brand name followed by drivers search in ww.google.com
