E:91:01 Error My Cybershot DSC-w30 camera keeps flashing E:91:01 and flash has also been disabled. please assist.

    Hi,Kimani from Nairobi here.

    Am having exactly the same problem with my sony cyber shot DSC-W30 digital camera(my flash wont work and E:91:01 keeps flickering).

    I've tried refreshing the settings by initializing the setup again and again as per the owner's manual but nothing doing.Need i say i use it everyday for about a year now but this error code started showing in mid May.I now can't shoot photos in dark areas and at night with good results.Pls help.

E:91:01 is error code related to Flash Circuit abnormality. It requires qaulified technician to fix and such person would be available at nearest Sony repair shop.

SONY CYBERSHOT DSC - H3 DIGITAL CAMERA FLASH PROBLEM

Hi Jim,
Have you tried resetting all settings on the camera? On a Sony camera, it is called "initialize". The initialize setting is found by going to the menu, and tabbing down until you find an option called either "reset settings" or "initialize settings" and then confirm it.
Many times that will fix the issue, in case something has either been enabled/disabled on accident, or the software is sticking (which happens from time to time)

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W30 Digital Camera dsc w30 digital camera reset

If you want to reset DSC-W30, press Menu and go to Initialize, select it and press OK
Camera will be RESET and go to factory default settings.

Problem with sony dsc-w30 cyber shot flash

I found this solution in Yahoo Answers. go into the Setup Menu and find "Initialize". Select Initialize to reset the camera adjustments. Then try using the camera again.

Check the manual- it may be in the menu or a separate button. When you are sure it is switched on put the camera to your ear and listen for the flash charging up[a High whistle sound] If it does not come on or the ready light does not show - then assume it has failed. Contact Sony customer support for further advice
