Creating dvd from JVC Everio

While trying to get images from the camera to computer it appears that it pulled everything from the camera (no files are left on the camera) and stored it in a file on the computer. I can identify the file on the computer but the production software will not allow me to load/open the file(s) to create a dvd. Please Help.

Video supported by your camcoder
Video: MPEG-2-PS / Audio: AC3.

Solution :
Using Power Director:

1. Copy MOD file from camera to chosen directory on Hard drive.
2. Import MOD file - File, Import Media files. (MOD not listed in files of type drop down box but just chose file anyway)
3. Edit project then save project as pds file.
4. You can then either produce movie in Power Director by chosing following:
Disk if required to play in DVD.
File mpeg2 if need to open in other authoring program
Streaming if needed for Internet
Everio if need to play back on Camera (MOD)
OR
Open saved project in Cyberlink Producer.
At start up screen select disk format (I chose SVCD & CDRW but your choice might be different)
At next screen Import Video files.
Chose previously saved *.pds file.
Edit SVCD structure as required, then at next screen chose burn options.

also you can use

USB MASS STORAGE?

Go to your "my computer" icon on the computer and you should be able to see all available drives on the computer. Your camera should appear as an external hard drive. You can open the drive and then open the files in the drive. Simply click and drag the files from the camera to your video folder on your main hard drive and you are good to go. Windows Media player should play the videos....or use an editing software like power dvd.

Deleted footage off my JVC hard disk camcorder Everio GZ-MG30

There is a way to get back those deleted video files from your digital camcorder, BUT it is just possible. Because if those deleted files has been overwritten by new files you saved in, then there is no hope. However usually overwritten cases are hard to happen as long as the hard disk(of your JVC camcorder) has enough volume.

Then, take so called data recovery program to handle the issue and see if you can grab some or all of the deleted files back. Here are some recovery software you may take a try.

If you are running Windows, try this video photo recovery program.
If you are using Mac OS X, turn to this Mac photo video recover software.

You should take care - before your files are recovered, do not save more files to the device concerned(do not take more videos or photos) in case overwritten situation will happen. I hope you good luck.
