Sounds like you didn't use the "safely remove hardware" function when you disconnected the USB cable. This can corrupt the card and even the camera. You could try using a separate card reader to download the pics from the card. If that works, and the pics are safely downloaded, then you should format the card in the camera to erase and optimize it. If it doesn't work, take the card to a Walmart that has a Kodak Picture Kiosk and it should be able to read your card. You can print the pics or even make a cd of them. Then, format the card in the camera.
make sure this disk is not "hidden" or "protected" for this is meant to lock your photos on your cd for privacy purposes. you can do this by right clicking on your "cd" drive and click properties. uncheck the correct boxes. if this does not work also try to copy and past them into another folder. and then move the folder to the mac. however there is quite a difference in acceptable formatting between PC's and Mac's so you might need to download a simple and free picture formatting program. go to download.com look up TransMac 8.3 and read about it there, it might be what you need
If you are running Windows XP or Vista in computer, hook USB cable between camera and computer, power up camera, Windows will recognize it and install required drivers automatically, click My Computer, Removable Disk, click folder and copy picture files and paste in some where in computer.
Yes, you can upload picture on memory card in camera and can playback in camera as well. Make sure that picture files are JPG format and file name must be DSC00001 to DSC99999, other then that camera will not show file in playback though memory card have it. Connect camera with computer, click My Computer >> Removable Disk >> 101MSDCF folder and copy / paste files there.
Highly recommend that you consider using a card reader to download your pictures. You insert the camera's memory card into the reader, and then insert the reader into a USB port on your computer. The card then shows up as a hard drive so that you can simply copy/paste or drag your picture files onto your computer. Card readers are much more faster in downloading pics, do not require the use of your camera's batteries, and provide much more reliable downloading of the pictures (fewer errors). They're also VERY inexpensive these days. Here are some examples from Amazon:
You must have a software in your computer to read the pictures. It can be kodak easy share, hp photo smart, or any photosmart software. This softwares might be available in the brands website for free.
Your computer needs a photo program to upload your pictures.
One easy way is to go to a store with photo service and have your camera card pictures put on a CD. This CD usually brings photo programs sofware and you will be able to use them next time from your camera into the program then into the computer.
