Thread breaks on the 2340CV Brother. Doing two needle and the right needle is breaking at the needle. Change needle and retreaded several times

Probably depends what that needle is hitting that is causing it to break. Make sure the presser foot and the needle plate hole are large enough to accommodate the twin needle. Twin needles come in different widths so if yours is too wide, it would break. However, it could be possible that your machine is slightly out of alignment that does not show up until you try to use a twin needle. Also, make sure that your thread is not causing the needle to break--could be misthreading. Some machines have separate guides and tension disks for twin threads. Those that don't have that accommodation may have more difficulty using a twin needle.

Needle hitting this and breaking. Pulling too ******* thread caught in bobbin case is the cause. How to fix or readjust?

breaking needles from hitting can be from several problems
1-- needle /hook timing is out
2--needle thread tension is too tight pulling needle side ways
thread caught around bobbin holder is top thread too loose
take it in for a service check as the needle /hook timing is complicated to adjust and the problem could be more complicated than suggested

How do I set the timing on my 457g105 singer

Timing is not necessarily the cause of your needles breaking. In fact, it probably isn't! If you can bring the bobbin thread up above the needle plate after you have replaced your bobbin, your timing is NOT off. It seems that you CAN do that; otherwise you would not be able to sew and break a needle.

There are several causes of breaking needles. Take a look at your spool of thread, and you'll see that one side has a notch to put the thread end in when the spool is not in use. It's generally on the bottom side of the spool. If you put your spool on the spindle with the notch end closest to the cap that holds it in place, the thread with catch on it as it goes around, stop the thread and break the needle. Ask me how I know!

When you have broken a needle, before you replace it take a good look at the machine and especially the thread to try to determine what it hit against to cause the break. Another possibility is your foot is not on all the way--even though it LOOKS like it is, and you can't tighten it any more by hand. Take a straight-blade screwdriver and see if you can give it several more turns--it might not be on the shaft all the way. Again, ask me how I know! Please let us know, whether or not you were able to fix the problem.

My thread keeps breaking. bobbin thread seems to be alright, have changed thread, needle.

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

I have a acme serger 5, brand new. We have threaded it according to the cd, I even had my son do it also, but the one of the bottom loopers thread keep breaking. I bought serger interlock thread. It will...

I will make this easy first always thread the machine upper looper then lower looper then the needles if a thread breaks especially if it was one of the loopers, make sure to pull the needle thread out before hand then rethread. as for the breakages look to see if the loopers are hitting each other when they cross and see if the needles are hitting the loopers when they go together either of these things will cause problems if so it will need to be looked at by a tech

Bobbin holder seems to be broke and needle breaks

Hello,
Here are several things to try.

* When you insert your new needle, make sure it’s positioned correctly (usually with the flat side away from the bobbin, but consult your manual), that it goes all the way into the holder, and that the screw is securely tightened.

If there doesn’t seem to be a problem with your needle, try the following:

* Check your pressure foot and make sure it’s attached securely.

* Change your pressure foot Your pressure foot may be bent, causing your needle to hit it.

* Don’t sew over pins a needle that hits a pin can break. Always remove the pins from your fabric before they reach your needle.

* Don’t pull your fabric as you sew. You could be bending your needle back, causing it to hit your needle plate instead of going into the hole. Just guide your fabric, letting it feed on its own.

* Check your needle plate and make sure it's securely in position.

* Change your needle plate. If you’ve been using a straight stitch needle plate (a plate with a small hole, often used for sewing fine, delicate fabrics), switch to a needle plate with a wider hole.

* Check the position of your needle. Sewing machines with zigzag capability allow you to adjust the position of your needle – right, left, or center. If your needle is not positioned correctly, it may be hitting your needle plate or pressure foot.

* Un-thread your machine and remove your bobbin. Clean any loose thread or lint out of your
bobbin case. Re-thread your machine, reinsert and re-thread your bobbin.

* Change your bobbin. There could be a nick along the edge of your bobbin spool that’s catching your thread as you sew.

Also, before you start to sew a seam, hold the upper and bobbin thread tails. Hold them back
and out of the way as you sew your first couple of stitches. This will keep them from getting
caught in your machine.

I hope these solutions help you.

W3300 hook and needle

I had many broken needles before I put my thread on a thread stand behind my machine. I found that the thread was winding around the thread post and causing a jam and thus, breaking my needles. This solution worked!
