Hi after my ps3 dlded the newest update now it wont connect to the psnetwork.. ive reset it put all my email acc back in and tested my connection 4 times. is it possible for u to sumhow fix that psnetwork connect from ur side?

OK, 1, check your internet connection. 2, ensure you have available space on your HDD. 3, If 1&2 ok, then use your pc and go to psn with a thumb drive formatted to FAT32, download the newest update then follow instructions on screen.

This means you've been signed out of the playstation network. A problem with your broadband, not your PS3. Check the connection of the ethernet cable from your router to the ps3. Then switch off at the mains both your ps3 and your router. Leave for 30 seconds then turn both back on. Wait till the blue lights on your router are all steady blue not flashing red or orange. Then turn on your PS3, go to network settings, then internet connection test. This will check your internet connection, and whether or not you're signed in to PSN, and also your internet download/upload speed.

Welcome to Fixya. Heres how you can connect your controller to your PS3.

1. Press the tiny Reset Button on the back of the controller

2. Plug in the USB Connection wire

3. Restart Console

4. When loaded, Press the PS Button

5. Disconnect the USB wire

Then it should have recognised the controller and auto-assigned, hope this works for you

Hi,troubleshoot your cables for connection and after that you can try these too.


You can try the steps below. Its from PlayStation Forum:

1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System

If the above steps still does not solve the problem, then I think will have to update your Ps3.

Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option).

Go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as
well as cookies.

You could also try this as well: put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it and switch the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still holding it, then put it back on and the fan test should be working this may cool it down. It might be over heating.

But if your problem is not still solved, then maybe you should call sony for further assistance.

If you still have the PS 3 manuals, try pairing the controllers to your console again by following how to synch it or push the reset button from the back of the controller.

Ok first of all take out the Hard drive (under a cover on the bottom of the PS3) and reinsert it. Then connect the remote with the USB cable and when asked press the PS button. If it still doesn't work you are going to have to download the newest PS firmware from the PS website, put it on a flash disk (memory stick), put it in the PS3 and follow the instructions on PS's site to update the firmware.

Hello. If your PS3 is near your PC you can just use the same ethernet cable from your PC and plug it into the back of your PS3, turn on the PS3, go to Network settings then Network Connection Settings and choose wired connection and easy setup. Confirm it at the end then test the connection. When done with that, go to the PS Network tab and sign up, then download the newest update and play your heart out!! I wish you luck. Thanks!!

Reset your settings, somtimes it wont link up and you need a new download from the ps3.. let me know if you have already tried this!
