I own a 52 inch rca hdtv model # d52w20 When turning the tv on the power light would flash 3 times and the tv would not come on. After many attempts the tv would work that lasted for about 3 weeks now it just flashes and does not come on. This happened once before and the tech replaced the power transistor and fly back. I ordered a fly back and will try that any other advice would help.

this is chriskc and i have this problem with my Sony Trinitron 27 in tv light flashes 3 times and won't power on either . Is there a fuse inside the case of the tv ? I notice there isn't any resent button on it . Can't find one anyway thank you for your asistance
More than likely the sony has a bad flyback

Unable to get unit to come on. The light flashes. I followed the diagnostic to shut down power and wait before hooking back up and trying to start again. It would not come up. The set had been taking a little longer over a period of time to finally start up until the day came that it refused to start at all.
If it is a "flyback transformer" as described, how does one determine the specific one to order and install, or is a better idea to have a tech do the repair?
