I-mate jam upgrade problem

My i-mate jam worked allways good, once stoped restarted and freezed
i tried to update software but it stoped at middle.

it gives me an error of country un compatibility

how to format the phone

    Problem is my imate jam started out very well behaved, then i downloaded the 1.12 ROM image and it was fine and wonderful for months, then started going off at will and i guessed i had to reload the ROM to bring some sanity but in the middle of reloading the ROM reloader program reported ERROR: COUNTRY CODE ID ERROR 120. then started displaying "serial" and "v1.00" in a dimmed out screen. this is what am carrying around now as my imate jam seeking help from folks! unfortunately i-mate club could not help. Anytime am logged into their website they see me coming.....the online support assistants quickly turn off their availability and say "unavailable at this time, pls try again later"! it is surprising because this same ROM image stored on my laptop worked before, why suddenly country issues?

    thg phone is totally gone after upgrading when i press power butten or conect it to pc it do nothing but vibretting ..i need my imate format get fixed help F1 PLZ

    look i have got a solution for ur problem first download MaUpgradeUt_noID fromhttp://www.mediafire.com/?x3ybdovgz9v then open it it will contain about 2 maupgarde open the on that when u open it u will find the picture of imate jam and connet u imate 2 the computer and ur imate must have serial on the top and on the bottom u have v1.00 then the serial turns to usb when u connect it to the computer then start on clicing next there will appear to u a small window by saying that he is reading information from ur device the click upgrade there will appear to u a small window saying that thise doesn't support with ur imate don't worry then start all thise steps again then will start upgrading the rom on ur imate by the way thise happened to u because the rom was completely deleted from ur imate

I have been told that by browser needs to be upgraded. what do i do now.
1) Open Firefox
2) Click on Help
3) Click on Check for Updates
4) In the dialogue box, click 'Get the new version'
5) Wait patiently for about a minute
6) All done! Firefox will need to restart before the update can take effect, so don't upgrade while you're in the middle of something else on the internet (like trying to snipe an Ebay auction!).

My i-mate k-jam is not getting updated to windows mobile 6.1 or above. any solution for getting updated to the latest version?
down grade it to 1.01 both spl & ipl
then unlok it with wizard toll
enable rapi
sync it with active sync but dont bridge any connections with it.
then get rom upgrade utility upgrade it to 2.26 both ipl &spl
there you go its working again
if the sync is not working then turn off the device & turn it on on holding the cam button
disply screen will be tri colour with usb option
thendown grade it to spl & ipl 1.01
there you go .

You cannot upgrade to windows mobile 5 , but you sure can upgrade to windows mobile 6. I have i-mate jam with wm6.1 installed. Here is the link with this rom version. inside is a file with instructions : http://rapidshare.com/files/257201043/HTCMAG_ROM_WWE_O3.rar

Installed new update to fix freezing problem - created new one
I had the same problem. Mine originally stopped at 23/92 files. Then after a cool night, I started it again in the morning and got 91/92 files loaded before it started to fail again. I left the disk in and after about 20 fails in a row, it finally loaded!!! Recommend you just leave it in there and it should work. good luck

you can try to upgrade the software or at least install it again.

Software Upgrade
install the cd that came with the phone, once that is done and you have connect you phone via usb cable to the pc, switch on the phone then when the pc has located and recognised your phone go to the update column and the pc will search nokia site for a new upgrade.

I-mate jam screen
First of all you need to make a "Hard" restart (thats usually cleans up also the memory so perheps you'd better back it up)You can make it by taking out the battery and there I think you should have the restart button,then go into the menu and try to re-configure your screen touch, Hope that'll help
