It may just be that certain song is corrupt and cant play you can try downloading the song again, but if it still does it the mp3 is probably faulty

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio Books, etc. from MP3 Player
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that
you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want,
release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now your mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Ok so I have a coby mp3 player and the songs are

Ok there are 2 Solutions that can fix this:

First:

1. Plug the MP3 player into the USB port. Open Windows Media Player, which will recognize that the device is plugged in and register under the "Sync" tab at the top.
2. Click on the "Sync" tab and and the library that is on your MP3 player will be displayed.
3. You can select individual songs or albums for deletion. Simply right click on the song or album to be deleted and scroll down to the "Delete" option.
4. After selecting "Delete," another window will come up which says "Are you sure you want to delete [title of song]?" There are two options at this point--you can delete from the library only or from the library and your computer. Select the one or the other and click
"OK." The song will be deleted. The change will be displayed within the library onscreen.
5. When you unplug the player from the port, the library will adjust the files to reflect the change. The player will say "configuring library" or some other message to that effect. Once this has finished, the main screen will be displayed. Depending on the model of the MP3 player, there may be a message stating "library updated."

Or if that does not work try this:

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the Coby's website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

Mp3 saying can not create file

ok I figured it out. When u drag the songs or files to the mp3 player initially, they all go into the folder ROOT. What you need to do is delete a song or two and create a new folder. To do this, connect mp3 player to the computer, open the e:/ so that you can see the songs or files that you have put on there. Then click 0n file, go down to new and then click on folder. This will show a new one on the info of mp3 player. Then drag anything you have on the player to the new file. You can then add more songs, ect. Just keep transferring them to the new folder as you download. It fixed my problem because at first it would not let me have more than about 100 songs, now I have about 450. Hope this helps!!!

Philips GoGear mp3

Sounds like the files are DRM copy protected.

You can check for protected tracks.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
  • Click on View -----> Details
  • Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
  • Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under "protected". Check your non-playing tracks are listed as No, under "protected".
The HDD1830 is not compatible with protected files, although your PC will play them ok.

Deleting songs

Hi the best way to remove songs off mp3 player is connect it to your comp then goto my computer and open up the mp3 file might say removable disk ok select this then it will list all the songs on the mp3 player now if you right click on the songs you want to delete it will delete them.
If you cant use bigpond on your mp3 try limewire this site will give you any song you can think of for free just download them as you would normally then transfer to mp3 if the songs dont play on your mp3 then you need to convert the song format to mp3 just use search engine and type convert music file
This will list all the sites that do this and most of them a free.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further help ok

"Bad Track" error, though not able to turn off, or get away from that screen

I encountered the same problem with my Sansa mp3 player. To fix it, you'll have to reset your mp3 player, meaning all songs and files will be deleted when you format the mp3 player. To do so: Connect the mp3 player to your computer Go to My Computer Double Click on your mp3 player HD You'll get a Warning box saying "Formatting Will Erase ALL data on the device. This may include any settings stored on the device. To Format device, click on OK. Click OK Wait until completed with Format and you are "Bad track" free! Reload your songs using whatever software you use. I use Windows Media Player and was happy to see the songs I had on my mp3 player. All I had to do was sync them again. Hope this helps! When asked I use Windows Media player to sync so I still have that on my playlist. To get rid of
