I believe you have an audio driver problem. What you can try is to use the drivers and utilities disk that your dealer gave you when you purchased your computer unit. Install all the necessary drivers and utilities and I'm sure you will have your sound/audio back.
In case you don't have a drivers and utilities disk with you try to go to windows update using internet explorer browser. Find updates from microsoft windows update. Once the updates are found, try to check the custom updates not the priority updates. On the left side of the screen you will find a selection of updates try to click on the hardwqare(optional) updates if you find a n update on your audio device then select and install. reboot your computer after all the updates are installed and check your audio after reboot

Why my hardan/kardon speaker of my hp laptop did not functioning after i reformat my laptop

Please confirm whether you are using external or internal speakers. If those are internal then it may be because of unavailability of the sound card drivers. Try to install those drivers and you will be able to hear the sound from inbuilt laptop speakers. Do let me know your laptop make and the operating system which you are using. I will send the direct link to you.

Thanks,

How to reformat aspire 5920

If you have the factory CD's you can yous that to reformat and install all defaults. If not, you can use a bootable Windows CD. Boot to the cd (pressing F12 as soon as the computer turns on and selecting Boot to CD)

You can the use the Windows CD to format the drive and re-install Windows.

Hope that helps. Please comment and rate if it does.

I have no volume

Did you reformat the laptop? Or did you get the laptop with no sound? If you reformatted the laptop you probably used a resource CD of some sort, if not visit the laptops manufactures website and look for anything with Downloads / Drivers. check for sound drivers.

How to reformat the lab top

Instructions
  1. If you have the recovery cd, you can just pop-in the CD, select the reformat option and the installation process will continue automatically. Some laptop might have a special partition in the drive contains the operating system, drivers, etc. in case you want to reformat your laptop without the CD.
  2. If you don't have the recovery CD, you usually can request one from the manufacturer. Otherwise, if you want to do a clean install, make sure you download all the drivers for your laptop, this may includes: motherboard, chipset, graphic card, sound card, modem, network card. Once you do that, put in the OS CD and start installing.
  3. If you decided to do a clean install without the recovery CD, it would be best to create partition on your harddrive first, so you can have dedicated partition for operating system and backup. The next time you want to reformat your harddrive, you can just reformat that particular partition ex. C:\
  4. After the reformatting process finished and you have installed a new clean OS. Install drivers one by one and restart when it's required. Try to do it in order from basic function -> secondary ex. motherboard, chipset, graphic, sound, modem, networking, etc.
  5. Install back all programs that you might need. If you already backup the installation programs or have the installation CDs handy, you can do this pretty fast.
  6. Rearrange the look and customize your new operating system, refer to the screenshot you have taken earlier before the reformatting process begin if you want to get the same look and feel.
Do it and reply me.

NEC VERSAPRO VA10H AUDIO DRIVER

You know, in space, no one can hear you scream?
Do your own Google/Dogpile/VersionTracker/NEC-assisted footwork to get the drivers appropriate for your laptop and the OS you want to use. It's not broken; you're just too toxic to even create a category for your laptop model, or do the search you knew you needed to do. What makes you think you would enjoy sound if you keep on like that?

Sound is not working on my hp laptop

did you RESTORE the OS or did you reformat and REINSTALL the OS? if you did a complete reformat and reinstall either 1) the software has changed Firmware settings and messed up the hardware or 2) The Reinstalling process has installed similarly unfunctional drivers or 3) there is an unrelated problem that is the real cause of the issue.

I'd try getting ahold of a whole set of drivers and trying each one. You might also want to look into BIOS updates for the HP, they might have fixed the issue already.

No sound on my dell laptop

I'm thinking when was the last time you reformatted? I know it's a hassel but it comes the time when you have no choice. Do you have your audio coming from the screen? It so then I would try speakers. They're cheap enough these days. If this works then I would be hopeful that your screen is still under warranty. If not then you may need to pull your laptop apart and replace the sound card.
