Is it stuck ... i.e. many space being keyed ... when you are not holding it down ? or is it NOT giving you a space when you press on it ?
Either way, try using a different (external) keyboard to see if the same problem exists. If it's the keyboard, have it cleaned/serviced.

Space Bar Not Working

Have you gone into the device manager and trying to update the driver? If that's not it, try uninstalling it and shut down and restart the computer? It will reload your driver for you. That's all that I can think of.

Icant.press.the..space..bar

assume this is an acer laptop keyboard?

Sticky key: gently remove the space bar noting how the retaining clips fit. Clean under the bar and around the rubber buffer with isopropyl alcohol or similar, test before refitting the bar, if this does not resolve the problem, you may be looking at a partly damaged keyboard and will need to replace

How to use the space bar when typing on screen keyboard?

If you are typing with the mouse, just click the space once to give one space after a word or after a letter. There's no other method or no other way to give space without using the space bar of the onscreen keyboard.

Left side of space bar on Dell XPS M1330 difficult to use

I had the exact same problem and contacted Dell support. They sent a tech to swap out just the keyboard. I have a feeling these keyboards are not of the highest quality as I do have some issues with the Ctrl key now. But it's much less annoying than the broken spacebar.
