Forgot word password?
Solving this problem by using software:
There are many 3rd party utilities which claim to recover forgotten word password:
The program that I recommend is the Word Password Recovery 5.0, It recovers/removes the "Password to Open" and "Password to Edit" for you to view and edit the document freely.
Tip:here is another software called office password recovery 5.0 which including not only Word Password Recovery 5.0 but also other programs that can recover excel password, access password as well.

I tend to open it as a read only file and then select all and copy to notepad and then back into a new word document.
There are other methods too and you should be aware that some may take a long time to crack our password.

I work with office and word documents quite often and couple times I had a like situation. To my mind in this case the best solution is a one tool. Next tool noticed my attention some weeks ago - word repair. As far as I remembered it had some good capabilities, consequently it maybe will help you.
SOURCE: how to open a password protected file
When you password protect an Excel file, you will be asked 2 passwords. 1, a mandatory password, to open the file. The second, an optional, is the password to allow users to modify your file. If the second one is supplied, the user who opens the file but doesn't know the password can opt to view the file in Read Only instead. However, if you do not supply the 2nd password, users will not be given the chance to view the file even in Read Only.
SOURCE: Forgot password to open Excel sheet
If you mean that you can open the Workbook and read the Worksheet - then all you have to do is select all and paste it to another Worksheet. This will allow for changes of formulas etc.
If you mean the whole Workbook - then I dunno.
In future, either use the same password for everything (easy to remember) or Protect the work with nothing entered into the password field (leave this blank). This last will protect the work from people who try to guess your password, but will be easy for you to remember - eg every password is left blank.
If you must use unique passwords, then keep a record of them somewhere other than on your computer.
Sorry I can't help with the "Workbook" solution - but somebody else out ther may be able to do so.
