Washer leaking water from bottom

All of the hose connections seem to be secure; however, during the spin cycle water comes out of the bottom of the machine Most of the water seems to drain through the the drain hose, but we are still getting puddles underneath the machine. My GE washer leaks when in spin cycle, cloths are being washed but water is on the floor.

Water drips in the beginning of the wash. During spin cycle about a quart comes out. I have tried fixing it with silicone with no luck

MIne did and it was the bleach container on the top that was getting clogged and leaking over, we actually drilled the hole a bit bigger and cleaned it all out and it stopped. I've had to take the whole top of the washer off to do this about 2-3 times now.

Looks like you have to replace the RUBBER SEAL thats inside the tub at the center post , try this , remove the panel so you can see inside , put the washer to fill w/ water , and watch closely underneath the tub wheres the transmision is connected , and watch for LEAKS . hope this info helps

My GE washer leaks water during spin cycle only, seemingly from bottom of valve(?) where water hoses hook up, hoses look to be in good shape, only a year or so old.

If it is leaking at where the drain hose comes out of the wash machine, make sure the plastic spider clamp is seated securely in the groove on the drain hose. If that's not it, then, yes, you'll need to open up your washer to gain access to the inside of it. I don't know which model GE wash machine you have, but most of the GE top loaders can be opened by following the instructions in this youtube video:

Good luck!

Washer seems to be leaking during spin cycle.

If the water is gushing from the washer, check the small plastic air dome hose on the lower right hand side of the wash tub. Sometimes the hose can come loose and come off. This will cause the water to begin pouring out of the bottom of the the washer when it begins to fill. The following link has some other things you may consider as well:

The link explains how to remove the exterior washer case in order to accurately inspect the washer interior components for the source of your leak.
Another common source of leaks with Whirlpool manufactured top loaders is a leaking drain pump. These pumps are not serviceable and if damged, must be replaced. The following link explains how:

Don't forget to check all drain hose connections under the washer and the center tub seal.

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartrsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. the first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only

Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim

Washer leaking water from bottom

You may want to check the seal at the bottom of the agitator, there is a o-ring that keeps the water in the drum from leaking through the agitator as it spins. This is a cheap seal and will wear over a period of time from exposure to bleach and detergent. You need to take the agitator apart and remove it from the drum and you should see this seal at the base of the agitator were it meets the drum.

Replace the seal and reassemble, take the metal casing off the washer and fill the drum with a little water, wait, and see if the water is leaking under the drum. If no leak, try to reassemble and run the washer. If is still leaks then check http://www.applianceaid.com/genew.html
