Power will not stay on to VIP 211 receiver

Receiver is plugged directly to wall and have tried more than one outlet and circuit. All outlets work for other devices. When plugged in, green light comes on then starts flickering or flashing and then eventually goes off altogether.

Hi! This is Matt Gonzales with DISH Network. When a receiver will not stay powered on properly, and you have tried unplugging it and also plugging it into a different outlet, the reciever will need to be replaced. When a receiver is on properly the green light should stay steady

My receiver (new) will not turn on? Is there a reset button?

There isn't a reset on these receivers.

If it doesn't show a power light on it, then try disconnecting the power for 30s.
If still no power light
  1. check the outlet it's connected to
  2. disconnect all cables from the back of the receiver but power and try again.
  3. connect the receiver to a different outlet (still with nothing else connected)
if you still don't get a power light on it then the receiver is dead.

Receiver goes off and screen turns green

Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is my pleasure to assist you. Please reset the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds please plug the receiver back in, allow it to power back on by itself, it will acquire signal and download the guide. If issue persists and you currently have the receiver's power cord connected to a surge protector, please by pass the surge protector and connect the cord directly to a wall outlet. If issue persists after performing this steps please email me at: [email protected] for further assistance. You can also contact us directly at: 1800-333-3474.

My dish network reciever won't turn on it is a vip 612 dvr

Hi Cecil Threatt,

I do hope this has been resolved by now, but if not I would be happy to provide assistance. The receiver may need to be replaced if it's not powering on. To help verify where the problem is, make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall outlet. If it already is, then if possible try another outlet.

If the problem continues we can look into a replacement. You can send me an email at [email protected] and I can help you further!

SLINGLOADED RECEIVER TRIPPING OFF

Beverly Gobin,

It sounds like the receiver may be power cycling. Try bypassing any power strips or surge protectors and plug directly into a wall and try again. If the problem continues, if possible try another outlet.

Send me an email at [email protected] if the problem continues since the receiver may need to be replaced.

My receiver will not power on. if you runplug it and again plug it in, it will stay on for 2 sec and shut off

My name is Becki, and I'm with Dish Network Customer Service. This issue sounds like a power issue. If you have the receiver plugged into a surge protector, try plugging it straight into the wall. If already in the wall, try unplugging it for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, the receiver needs to be replaced. If this issue has not already been resolved, blog back!

Getting no signal from DishNetwork ViP211 reciever. green light is flashing continuously

Hello, my name is Becki Barned, and I'm with Dish Network customer service. The issue that you have here is, the receiver si rebooting. This process can last up to four hours. If it goes on for more than four hours, then you have a power issue. It does help to unplug the receiver for 10 seconds. If your receiver is not connected straight to the wall, go ahead and try to connect it to a power outlet on the wall. If that doesn't work, and if your issue has not already been resolved, blog back and we can help further.

DVR won't turn on. TV screen is black

This can be a variety of different things, ensure television is powered on, what color light do you see on the front of your DISH Network 311 receiver? The green light is the one you should be seeing if the receiver is in fact powered on. If the light is not on even after pressing the power button on both the remote & the receiver, then I would recommend checking the source from which the receiver is plugged in, is it plugged directly into a electrical outlet on your wall, or is it plugged into a power strip? If wall outlet, perhaps try a different outlet and see if that makes a difference, if it's plugged into a power strip or surge protector unplug from wall and unplug receiver from strip for 30 seconds and reconnect checking to see if issue has been resolved. While checking these things, I would also recommend double checking to ensure nothing may have become disconnected and that all cables are connected from the back of your receiver to the back of your tv and to the wall and they are hand tight. I hope this helps, if the issue is still not resolved please feel free to contact me directly or you can call our technical support team for further assistance @ 1-800-333-3474. My direct e-mail is [email protected].

Dead unit

I'm sorry to hear about your DISH Network DVR-625 receiver. If you don't mind me asking & to allow me to further assist you, what exactly do you mean by "dead unit"," For example, was it working and has suddenly stopped working? Does it power on, can you see any lights on the front of your receiver? Is it plugged directly into a electrical outlet on the wall, or is it plugged into a power strip/surge protector? If plugged into a power strip/surge protector, please attempt to bypass by plugging the receiver directly into an electrical outlet- if plugged into an electrical outlet please try a different outlet. I hope these few tips may help but if not and you need further assistance please feel free to contact me @ [email protected] :)
