Re: I tried to eject a DVD and now the DVD holder is
If you had forced it open its probably not aligned (if its still open give it a little shove and press the eject again (otherwise unplug the machine for 5-10 min..and try pressing the eject button again

You may take a look at this guide, it's about how to capture video from VHS to
computer and burn to DVD, it works pretty well for me http://www.reviewstown.com/how-to-convert-vhs-tapes-to-dvd.html Hope
it helps. If you still have problem, feel free to contact me.
Did you follow directions on how to transfer VHS to DVD ? When the dvd is finished copying it MUST!! finalize the copy. If you attempt to eject DVD while in FINALIZING it gets stuck. Try and unplug the power for about 1/2 hour. plug in and eject. p.s. read the manual....the machine is complicated!!
I have a Toshiba HDD&DVD vcr RD-XV48DTKB will not accept disc or play any disc have tried several makes even new ones it just loads then says error cannot play eject will not play or record HELP
assuming you have power to the machine , i would suggest the ejection drive belt has stretched , 2 choices here , take it somewhere and get it fixed or unplug it from power supply and remove the top casing yourself and have a look.
Take dvd/vcr combo aparts.Turn on the power to the machine, one hand move around the inter eject vcr port for those sensors, the other hand just keep pushing the eject button, keep doing this until the tape eject and come out.
