The drive opened when i unplugged the machine for a minute, I did not force it open. After I plugged it back in and turned it back on is when it got stuck. I did what dvdcdlaser suggested, but this did not help it. Any further advice?

If you had forced it open its probably not aligned (if its still open give it a little shove and press the eject again (otherwise unplug the machine for 5-10 min..and try pressing the eject button again

I hadnt used my machine in a while. I went to transfer from a VHS to DVD Loaded both - no problem After finishing the transfer the I couldnt get the DVD to eject Help please

Did you follow directions on how to transfer VHS to DVD ? When the dvd is finished copying it MUST!! finalize the copy. If you attempt to eject DVD while in FINALIZING it gets stuck. Try and unplug the power for about 1/2 hour. plug in and eject. p.s. read the manual....the machine is complicated!!

VHS tape is stuck in the VCR. Tape will not eject, will not play or foward/rewind. The unit has been working just fine with no problems. The VHS tape has been inserted into the machine to record daily...

assuming you have power to the machine , i would suggest the ejection drive belt has stretched , 2 choices here , take it somewhere and get it fixed or unplug it from power supply and remove the top casing yourself and have a look.

My daughter put a vhs in her vcr/dvd combi. Now the vhs is chewed and stuck so it won't come out and the tv and dvd player automatically shut off

Take dvd/vcr combo aparts.Turn on the power to the machine, one hand move around the inter eject vcr port for those sensors, the other hand just keep pushing the eject button, keep doing this until the tape eject and come out.
