It sounds like you're probably looking in the right place...it's possible that the inlet water valve is stuck open or simply defective. Turn off the water, turn off the power, remove the hoses and check the inlet valve. The valve could be stuck, have something in it. You may need to remove the inlet valve(s).

Water valve is stuck open. Is water hot or cold that continues to flow? That's the part of the valve that is stuck open. You can use if you shut water off at your pipe. It's when they are stuck closed that you cant use until you replace water valve.. and if you dont know, that's the part the hoses connect to on your washer, usually with blue plastic threads. Careful not to cross thread when reinstalling hoses.

Why did my Whirlpool duet stop showing estimated time for each cycle?

reset it.
Unplug the washer for 30 seconds to attempt to reset the Duet washer control. if your fill hoses have a flood stop check valve turn the water off, disconnect the hoses and run a little water into a bucket. Then reconnect the hoses to your washer and do a Duet Washer Quick Diagnostic Test.

Thw washer fills with water when off

The inlet valve is faulty and you have to replace it. It is located on the right side of the machine viewed from the rear where the fill hoses are attached to.Turn-off the water supply, unplug the machine and do the following:

  1. Remove the three screws holding the top panel in place.
  2. Disconnect the hoses and electrical connections to the water inlet valve.
  3. Remove the mounting screws holding the water inlet valve.
  4. Reinstall the replacement valve.
  5. Reinstall the hoses and the electrical connections.
Replacement valve part number for Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P front load washer is 906483.

My whirlpool duet washer is filling with water when it is off. it only drips, but two days in a row it was filled up above the bottom of the door openeing and spilled on the floor,

This problem is either attributed to a defective water inlet valve, or defective pressure switch. An easy way to determine which one may be causing the problem is to unplug the washer, but leave the water taps on. If the washer continues to fill, you have a defective water inlet valve. If the water stops, I would recommend changing your pressure switch.

Post back and let me know if you require further assistance. I hope this helps you.
