If you are replacing the power supply and it has 4 pin 12v conector and your motherboard doesn't, just disregard the 4 pin plug. The 20 pin conector will supply sufficient power for the processor. Many of the older motherboards did not have a separate 12v supply for the processor.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY FOR AN EMACHINES T1120 COMPUTER. CANNOT FIND A SCHEMATICS DIAGRAM ANYWHERE.

After reading an article about Emachines awhile back, I found out the reason you can't find the schematic- it isn't available, as some motherboards are made specifically for Emachines and therefore not distributed, as they might normally be, but again, others are, but you have to identify them and go through another source to get them- Emachines, appartantly, will not supply them. All is not lost, however...all motherboards have, basically, the same hookups and connectors for the power supplies, hard drives, etc.- they are standard. I found a web blog that explains the power switch, reset, and power led, which will help. Here it is: http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/emachine-power-sitch-wiring/56545.html
This site will explain about the 24 pin connector from the power supply
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/53750-7-installation-manual-rs480m-w3400-emachine-motherboard
If you google "motherboard wiring" you will find sites that have illustrations of the motherboard, and explain which connectors go to which sockets, and how to identify them.
With a little patience and determination, you should be able to hook everything up from the various blogs on the net. Hope this helps.

Emachine t2824 board diagram

Here is the diagram that shows you how to hook up the wires:

http://www.fixya.com/uploads/images/284ECAC.png

If you still have no video then reseat the memory one stick at a time in one slot at a time.

If you still have no video then reseat the cpu into its slot.

If still no luck try a different stick of RAM by trying it one slot a time.

Last step, unhook the power connectors from your device so the only power connectors that are connected are the power to the motherboard and the p4 connector to the motheboard. Also make sure your power supply is set to 115v. Its the red switch on the back of the power supply.

If none of this works, then the motherboard is bad. Hope this information helps.

Need wiring diagram for eMachine 20030812 motherboard!!!

You should be able to see the words/letters that go with the jumpers on the motherboard itself. look around the jumper settings area for power, pwr etc. and match them up with your jumpers which should have what the go to on them.

Disconnected wires

If you feel comfortable working inside the computer, after taking electrostatic precautions and ensuring the power is off and disconnected, look for a group of colored wires which plug on to a set of pins near one corner of your motherboard. The power wires should be marked "PWR" (or something similar) on the end of the wire, and the appropriate place for it on the motherboard should have the same marking.

If in doubt, take it back to who/where you got if from, and ask them to do it for you, or give us the eMachines model number and we can give more specific info on how to proceed.

Safety first. If you're the slightest bit unsure about what you're doing...DON'T DO IT!!!

LOST POWER ON MY COMPUTER.

You can place your hard drive into an External Hard Drive Case and transfer your files on another system (this would be cheaper than having a repair shop do a ‘data-transfer’).
