This is a long one. You will have to start from the mains end and proceed to eliminate the stage in progression fromthe power to the HT. You need to be familiar with electronics and using a meter proceed to check fromthe fuse to the SMPS,+B and the HT. Hope this helps

How to turn on tv

Hello, try holding the power button for 5 seconds and see if it will come on, otherwise try a universal remote programmed to a mitsubishi tv. If it still won't come on it might have a problem in the power supply....tks

Recently, the color started going in and out.

Sounds like the power switch has gone bad, Have a repairman look at it.

Don't try this yourself. There are components inside that tv that can kill you instantly if touched.

Popping, snapping sound

Hello fulby2001,

Have the CRTs checked for grid to cathode shorts. The CRTs do this (pop and crack) when they have Grid Cathode shorts. I would advise having a qualified TV technician do this for you.
